This is a w3orkbook to record geneology, not an art book!,
By Sandy Ellis (Stockbridge, Ga) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Family Tree Ancestral Tablet (Paperback)
This is a book with blank pages to record family history. It is not a book to 'read' or an instruction book or "tablet" to draw in. I do not know what the first review is about, but not about this book. My great aunt completed one for our family in the 1920's. I would like one to add to the family tree.

Useful way to record eight generations in easy-to-view form,
By A Customer

I've had this chart-book for about twenty years and it's my main place to record the basic details of our family genealogy, because it is so clear and easy to use. The book opens in the middle and your father's side goes on the left and the mother's on the right (or vice versa if you like). There are cutouts so that you can see through to a name on another page, so that you don't have to fill out all the information several times. The names are numbered to give you to show that two John Smiths, for example, are not the same. I recommend this highly for beginners in genealogy and for a "hard copy" of the most important facts.

I like the pretty pictures.,

It was real nice the way they showed you could do it. They had real pretty pictures and things to show how you could do it the right way. It was real nice and I keep it in the bathroom all the time. It's good to keep a pencil and some paper so you can draw like they show you how. It goes real fast in the bathroom now cause I'm real busy drawing the pictures from the book like they show you how to do. I like it. I really do.

"Roots" For Crackers,

This is a great way for Anglos to trace their roots. But if your ancestors were African slaves, forget it. Just make something up.
