Book Description

June 1994
There is a force at work in our land that is set to invade the most private areas of home and family.

This force is purposeful and exacts an enormous human cost. It has a secret agenda: to reeducate and reparent society starting today, starting with our children. This plan was conceived by social engineers who have gained access to the highest offices of power in this land. And they are using our hard-earned tax dollars to accomplish their purpose.

The Family Under Siege examines eight of the major organizations and institutions that are spearheading the new social agenda: Planned Parenthood, the National Education Association, Greenpeace, the American Civil Liberties Union, ACT UP, the Children's Defense Fund, the World Health Organization, and Tikkun. Besides their wide range and representative character, these groups were selected because of their special privilege and proximity to the powers-that-be in Washington as well as in Ottawa and London.

If you are unaware of how much ground the new social engineers have gained, what you read may shock you. Bestselling author George Grant will help you discover just who they are, what they want, why they want it, how they intend to get it, and then help you forumulate basic guidelines for a sound and reasoned response.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real page turner., August 28, 2000

Everybody should read this book. We are all well informed by the media on what the current situation is in our culture, or so I thought. I am upset at some of the things George Grant said in this book; not because they are untrue, on the contrary.

I think many people are as uninformed as I was. I was a 9th grade public school teacher when I bought this book, and I have many horror stories that would make some parent's hair stand straight up. And yet, this book goes beyond that. Because of my experiences in the government schools, I know that the chapter entitled "Dumb Certainties" is completely true.

The reason I believe that everyone should read this book is because unless we become informed on the truth of the situation, we will not be able to do anything about it. George Grant backs his statements with quotes and notes from many sources which make the content very credible and interesting. This was a real page turner.
