A threesome, anyone ? 3.5 stars,

I have been looking for threesome in licensed Yaoi. Finally found a somewhat resembling one in Family. Why somewhat resembling ? Two brothers making love to an adopted one could not really be termed a threesome since there is nothing between the 2 brothers. But the tangled bodies and limbs are pretty sexy. If you are looking for sex, Family has plenty. Enough angst in the plot but a bit abrupt in the beginning. The second story split into 2 short chapters are like 2 disconnected stories. A pity as the characters deserve better. Maybe it is because this is really a collection of doujinshis.
This mangaka's artwork is pretty. Now if only the story has more depth.

I might be in minority here, but I really liked this manga. The story about three "brothers" (two real brothers in love with the third, adopted) features some nice explicit scenes (i.e.,"threesome") and overall it's a very light, fun-to-read story. The other two stories are doujinshis about a cold-looking beauty medical student Chomaru (translated as "Winter Butterfly") and his relationship with the male model. Chomaru lives in the model's apartment without paying any rent... These 2 stories may indeed seem too short and disconnected, but there are three more stories about Chomaru in recently published FreshMen (Yaoi) (Deux)). Together, these 5 stores make much more sense, and are quite enjoyable, fun to read. I strongly recommend reading all 5 of these stories together, especially if you like Yuuya's art (I personally love it: the mangaka draws very pretty looking eyes... and other body parts).

Family is a story of love between adopted brothers. Kenji is loved by both his older brother and his younger brother. This story starts off after older brother and Kenji get together. The story itself would have been great if we had gotten the before part along with the after part. There is some interaction between the characters that will satisfy most yaoi fans looking for graphic scenes, though they are not explicit. The second storyline is another jumpy one where two guys meet and then the second part of the story they are now together. Over all I am not sure that this is a keeper for me. In general I like the stuff that comes from Kitty Media but this one is so, so.
