World Famous Flamingo Xing Sign,
By
This review is from: World Famous Sign 14725 Aluminum Flamingo Crossing Sign (Lawn & Patio)
My mother has been collecting flamingoes for years! She has so many lawn and garden flamingoes that I was running out of ideas for gifts related to her collection! Then, lo and behold, Amazon offers this AWESOME "road sign." It's the perfect accent to her beautiful flamingo garden...I mean flower garden! It's very sturdy and seems weather durable! She is so pleased that I believe I may now be her favorite child! Thank you, Amazon!

The classic--what else can I say?,

For some reason pink lawn flamingoes are synonymous with bad taste and what became known as "kitsch," such as a glass coffee table held up by vinyl, rubberized, swimming dolphins that I saw once. In the old days you just knew that anyone who put them on their lawn was NQOS, "Not quite our sort," and no-one ever invited these people to neighborhood block parties or let their kids play with their kids. How such a graceful bird became associated with the ultimate in tacky I don't know, but there it is.So for those iconoclasts out there still dying the show the world you have no couth or taste, WF Sign Co. still makes this sign. These signs (as well as the pink lawn flamingoes that Lawnware makes) also work for discouraging burglars from breaking into your house and stealing your wide-screen TV and other things, because they'll assume you're too clueless to have anything of value, especially if you also have a couple of old cars on your front lawn missing a wheel or two. Works for me, anyway. :-)
