No odor, never transfers onto clothing. Natural color on fair skin-never too dark. Exfoliate well in shower. Rub dab of regular, non-tanning lotion into kneecaps, elbows. Wait a couple minutes, then apply one pump at a time and allow tanner to be absorbed into skin. Leaving wet streaks will result in...streaks. No need to wait more than a minute or two before dressing.

Color does not fully develop until next day. Have ordered this for 5 years. Leftovers don't color as well a year later, so don't skimp in order to hold over a season. :)

After trying numerous self tanners over the years and falling in love with none I decided to give Famous Dave's a try. I kept the box thinking I would be taking advantage of the money back guarantee , that box went in the trash 3 days ago. This is the fastest drying tanner I've ever used. No yucky smell although I have used only at night before bed so I can't say for sure that the odor isn't there and I just sleep through it. Absolutely no staining of clothing or bedding so far. Took two applications on the legs and they were a very natural brown. I have used only on my legs and can compare to the nice real tan on my arms and the Dave's color is very similar to the real thing for me. Haven't applied any product in four days now and still have a good bit of even color on the legs. I have not experienced any of the blotchy fade that I have hated in the past. I say give it a try, so much better in every way than the drug store brands and half the price of the department store cosmetic counter products.

I bought this on Ebay originally. I have Eczema, so self tanning is difficult for me. It always either breaks me out into rashes or cracks and peels. I tried Dove and Aveeno, but they both were too fragrant for my skin. This has very little fragrance, and is actually moisturizing. I love the color, never orange. I notice a difference after one application (takes an hour or two) - but typically I'll use it twice a day on my face. Highly Recommended.

I'm a fair-skinned redhead on the hunt for a self-tanner that doesn't reek or streak. There really is no odor at all after application, although eventually I do notice that classic self-tanner scent. It's much milder than any other product I've used. I went with the moisture tan rather than the one for fair skin on a whim, and it's working like a charm. I ordered the mitt with the tanner, and I think that's made a huge difference too.

I FINALLY found a sunless tanner I can honestly say is perfect in every way! And it's been years that I've been experimenting with them all.
I hated being pale but hated the tanning salon beds even more. I was scared of wrinkles and skin cancer - so sunless tanners were my only option.
But they were such a job!
I would have to put on the lotions at night and lay unclothed to dry for at least 30 minutes or so. And even then, my skin would still feel tacky wet. Then I would have to wear dark clothing so I would not stain my shirts and pants. I would sleep on dark colored towels so as not to stain my sheets at night.
In the morning, I would smell awful and have to shower again - and most of the color would wash right off.
When I stumbled upon Famous Dave's website, I definitely wanted to try it as I read the many testimonials giving it praise. But I prepared myself for another disappointment.
FINALLY, my tanning prayers were answered!
Now I can shower and put this lotion on as I would any other body lotion and it dries instantly. I get dressed and wear any color clothing I choose. And I can go all day without the fear of smelling bad later on.
And the color is beautiful and natural.
Everyone who knows me is aware of my sunless tanner expertise and they ask me what I use.

Yes, this stuff is great in the sense that it does not smell during or after the application, but the BIG drawback for me is that it is not tinted, and it's easy to miss spots. If there was one thing that I could change would be this, but if you are an experienced self-tanning guru, then this stuff is as close to a natural tan as you can get.

I have used alot of sunless tanning creams and they have all turned my legs orange and smelled bad. After using Famous Dave's moisture tan, it didn't have that strong smell and it really tanned my legs after just one application. Great product...

Read instructions ! Goes on smooth. Smells good. It is a good self tanner. I tan easy in the sun, but don't want experience harmful rays. I like that it dries quickly.

I was really skeptical before buying this product. I have sensitivities to perfumes and chemicals, and I am also very fair skinned, burn easily...I had never been able to find a sunless tanner that I could stand the smell of...Dave's Moisture Tan is truly unscented, dries quickly on your skin and does not stain your bedsheets. And if you apply for a few consecutive days, produces a nice tan that lasts for several days. I only used it on my legs, because my upper body seems to tan okay on its own....overall, I am satisfied, but wish it would be a little darker on the first application. I will be a repeat customer, because it's the ONLY sunless tanner I've found that is truly unscented!

I love the classic Moisture tan. It's what I always use on my face and as a touch-up mid week over my Famous Dave's Dark. With a little practice I have developed a method for a great looking, natural tan. I get compliments on it all the time and always tell people it's Famous Dave's...not the BBQ sauce :) Customer service from Dave himself is the absolute BEST!!
