They have a great deal sometimes where they hand towels come free with this or have a 'two for one' price. The towel is a good size for the average person.

***To let it dry well so it doesn't mildew***...you MUST give it space to dry. don't mush it to one corner...it won't dry quickly at all because it's very absorbent...

The cotton is really really soft. I don't even use fabric softener and it's great. Guests really love the softness and always ask where they can get it. My guests must be cheapos on towels in their house :-)

These towels are well made. I bought them 9 months ago at Amazon. They are very soft, plush, and thick. Excellent value for the money.

My only complaint (as the other reviewer noted) is that the towels just do not get dry when I hang them on the towel rack for 24 hours. They are still a little damp, and then they start to smell musty. I hang them straight, not folded over, but they still don't get dry. I live near the ocean, so the air is humid but not sticky. I've never had this problem with other towels. My other towels aren't thin or wimpy (they are Polo by Ralph Lauren).

I'm going to reluctantly get rid of these because of the dampness. I'll probably send them to my parents who live where the air is drier.

If not for dampness, these would have rated 5 stars.

I agree with other review that these towels get dry slower than other brand. I wash and put several bath towels (Martex Egyptian, Martex Atelier, Grand Patrician) in the dryer. All my other thick, large towels get dry completely while the Grand Patrician is still little damp and smell musty. Even the larger supima towels 30"x58" get dry faster in my dryer. Overall, these towels are thick, soft, maintain the same color after washes but I probably will not consider buy them again because of damp smell.

I live near Seattle; not really humid here. Have not had any problems with them staying wet. Nice, big, soft, towels. Better than fine hotel towels! My only complaint is that you need to wash and dry them a few times when they're new, or you'll be covered in "new-towel FUZZ". Kinda like new carpet! I was a navy-colored Smurf there for awhile. But it dried my hair VERY fast. Sucked up the water like a sponge in a...well..a bowl of water!

I missed out on these towels several times when they were on sale :_( at a cheaper price I was able to get in on the recent buy $99 get $20 coupon. I ordered sheets and towels. I am so very happy with both purchases. The towels are wondefully big ,soft and absorbant. No problems with them drying on the towel rack overnight. I live in foothills of NC and our summers are hot and humid. I have spent as much or more for department store towels that were not as good. If you need towels for yourself or gift giving they are perfect. My only gripe was with delivery of my order. They were delivered thru Airborne to my post office I listed both my po box and street address for delivery. It was very difficult to lug out 4 huge boxes that almost did not fit in my car. My suggestion only use your street address for delivery.

Very good quality bath towels by famous maker. Oversized from the normal bath towel size. Very absorbant!

The towel looks nice and feels thick, but it is NOT thirsty at all! After doubting there material, I found the towel has been pilling after washes. 100% cotton won't pill unless the material is cotton/polyster blend! I called Martex customer service and tell them my thought. They said they need the towel to investigate. They will send me the replacement only if I pay the shipping and send the towel back. I did, and they didn't until I called them several times. The replacement towel still pills.... hopeless! See the picture and judge it yourself!

extremely soft egyptian cotton towels...can't beat for the price, if your looking for new towels look no further..

I love these towels. They are so soft. I will order more for my house.
