This review is from: The Famous Rose Callahan (Hardcover)
The most captivatingly written book I have ever read. It has brought Tombstone to life for those of us who want to know the other stories that didn't make the history books.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enthralling vision into the past, March 22, 2003

I've not often been a great fan of "historical" writing but was enchanted with Patricia Barrington's "The Famous Rose Calahan"! I am facinated by the concept of reincarnation and have listened with great interest to personal stories of spiritial and physical "Deja Vu". Ms. Barrington's writings, in a first-hand and "eye-witness" format, kept me entranced for hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Completely believable and fascinating reading!, June 14, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Famous Rose Callahan (Hardcover)
Tombstone, Earp brothers, soiled dove girls, shootings, cowboys, Indians, mining, gambling, the 1880's in the wild, wild west...what else can be more interesting to read? The Bird Cage Saloon was only opened for 8 years, but what stories those walls can tell. Well written, and spellbinding, this large book goes by very quickly and is easy reading, planning to reread it many times. Have visited the Bird Cage in person many times in the past and recently, I have updates since the book was written if interested after reading this book. Enjoy your step back in time to the 1880's!

5.0 out of 5 stars "Have we passed this way before?", January 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Famous Rose Callahan (Hardcover)
The author uses a wonderful sense of time and place, in presenting the story of a womans survival in a nineteenth century silver boomtown. In addition to the rich historical detail and insights to everyday life from a bygone era, Ms. Berrington has the courage to tell her personal experience which raises moving and provocative questions regarding spiritual passages. After reading this book you too will ask "have we passed this way before?"

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read kind of book, January 21, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Famous Rose Callahan (Hardcover)
My mother had this book first and had loaned it to me several years ago and due to a minor mishap with my Great Dane and the book it had to be replaced. When I was almost done reading this book I knew it had to be replaced it one of equal or greater value and having the chance to get this book signed by the author was a must for my mother. I knew that she would love it more than the original that she had loaned to me. This book is a MUST READ, it is an amazing thing to read what the author, Patricia Barrington, had gone through in discovering why these memories were surfacing and what she had discovered about her past life and who she was. What an amazing life!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK and am excited to read it again and again, through all the tears and excitement that Rose encountered in her life in Ireland and in Tombstone.

Thank you for having the strength and power to write about your present life and your past life and how they finally came together.

After reading Rose Callahan, I counted the number of books I've read on Tombstone. This makes 26 and is now on the top of my list. I hope they make it into a movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down, September 3, 2007
This review is from: The Famous Rose Callahan (Hardcover)
I was a little hestitant when I bought this book but thought I would give it a try since I love stories of Tombstone, old west, Arizona, etc. I couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend it. I felt like I was there and I felt like I could feel Rose's broken heart. I've been to the Bird Cage and now I want to go again to see it through "Rose's" eyes.
