5.0 out of 5 stars Great modeling book, September 9, 2009
This review is from: Famous Spaceships of Fact and Fantasy: And How to Model Them (Paperback)
While this is an older published book (1979-1980), many of the plastic model kits in here are still available today. Each article gives you a step by step guide on building the kit. Models covered in this book are: The (Airfix) Saturn V, The (Heller) Apollo Command module and LEM, the (MPC/AMT) Star Wars X-wing, the (MPC/AMT) Darth Vader TIE fighter, the (Fundimensions / MPC / Airfix) Space 1999 Eagle, the (Revell) NASA shuttle and 747, the (Aurora/Airfix) 2001 Orion Shuttle, the AMT NCC-1701 Enterprise, the (Monogram/Revell) Battlestar Viper and Cylon fighters, and a scratch built 1930's style spaceship. Each build section is preceded by a section about the 1:1 vehicle or studio models to be built, with color pictures. If you plan on building any of these kits, this will be helpful, if not for the reference pictures alone.
