5.0 out of 5 stars One of my all-time favorites!
I read this book when it was first published in paperback and was mesmerized from beginning to end. The storyline is eminently feasible (even more so today!) and keeps the reader guessing which diabolical twist the story will take next. 2.0 out of 5 stars Second-time around
I read The Fan Club in hardback when it first came out. I kept my copy of the book all these years because it remains one of my all-time favorite reads. I am now reading it again, and it intrigues me now just as it did all those years ago. As I am reading it, I keep trying to figure out which movie star Wallace might have had in mind when writing it.

I read this book when it was first published in paperback and was mesmerized from beginning to end. The storyline is eminently feasible (even more so today!) and keeps the reader guessing which diabolical twist the story will take next. Like many others, I lent my copy to a friend who wanted to read "something good" and I never saw it again. It would make many avid readers, like myself, very happy if the publishers would reprint this book and many of his other titles as well. He is a marvelous author and has always provided me with hours of enjoyment when reading his novels. He is truly one of the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Intense,erotic and thrilling, April 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Fan Club (Paperback)
I have read alot of books in my life and out of them all, this was one of my all time favorites! Even though it's been at least fifteen years since I've read it,I can remember almost every detail.I can't understand why great books like that go out of print! Like every one else, I loaned it out to a friend and never got it back.I think that I'll just have to search the library!I don't think that it was ever made into a movie but I can't see how a movie could ever do the book justice!

5.0 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE, April 14, 1999

I read this book back when it was first released. It was without a doubt one of the most exciting, heart pounding books I have ever read. Irving Wallace was the best with his characters. I would give anything to be able to get my hands on the book today. Hope they will reprint it. I would think it could be a bestseller once again.

5.0 out of 5 stars eclectic men's group kidnaps & rapes hollywood bombshell, June 9, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Fan Club (Hardcover)
mr. see the future wallace has written a multi-perspective mystery. the hostaging and ravishing of hollywood's sexiest star by four men of requisite physiogmonies is told with revolving five first person accounts. conversely the she-protagonist seduction of her pursuers provides readers with theater sex, real fantasy and s&m in a literary sensaround of enticing emotional physicality. bravo irv. now can we please find some cheap paperbacks for the public

5.0 out of 5 stars Rape victim pulls a 180 on captors in Suspense/Thriller, November 20, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Fan Club (Hardcover)
I first read it back in 1985 when I borrowed it from a friend, to whom I returned it.She promptly lost it and we've both been trying to find it ever since. If nothing else, The Fan Club reiterates the natural fact that sex is intercourse between far more than just the physical bodies. I thought Irving Wallace's telling of the mental posture of each character during each stage was brilliant. I've always thought that this would make an incredible movie, if it remained true to the book. Why is it taking so long for it come back into print?

4.0 out of 5 stars Great work of suspenseful thriller, September 29, 1996

This review is from: The Fan Club (Hardcover)
It has been years since I read this book, but when I read it, it was the most interesting book that I read. I lost this book during a move, and have trying find it in book stores every since. The plot is suspenseful and thrilling. By the end of the book I was sympathizing with the head kidnapper and hopping thathe would get away with this horrible crime he committed. I felt sory for all of the characters, this book took me into the phsyche of all the characters, and I saw a little of myself in all of them. I wish that I could find the book again.

4.0 out of 5 stars titillating, soul-searching, honest, quality suspense, March 6, 2000
This review is from: The Fan Club (Paperback)
I read this in a bargain paperback and was I surprised and elated at the quality and readability of this novel. I have since read other Wallace books but nothing comes close in terms of suspense, excitement and teaching one about life and personalities. I lost my copy in my old home and I have been trying to find another. Hope they'll publish it again or make a movie or mini-series with updated characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wallace, vibrante y brillante, October 1, 2000
This review is from: The Fan Club (Paperback)
