As the majority of other reviewers say, this fan moves an amazing amount of air. Current draw is around 1 amp, 1.5 amps, and 2.6 amps for the 3 speeds. Doubt I'll ever need to use the highest setting, it's that good at creating a breeze.

Can't speak for durability yet. Everything is plastic so I wouldn't let it get banged around or fall. The feet do look a little flimsy so I intend to fill the hollow spots in with epoxy. They'll break off the housing before the feet themselves will bust. OTOH, because it's all plastic, it's pretty light.

Will make a great fan for warm weather tent camping which is my intended use.

I have a small Toyota RV.

Most of the 12 volt fans I have used are small and not very useful. This one is a real fan, moves a lot of air and has a current draw that my 30 watt solar panel can just about keep up with. The fan has three useful speeds.

I bought the fan to use when I can't use my air conditioner because I don't have an electric hookup and running my generator is too noisy for conditions. I now also use the fan to circulate air in my RV on really hot days even when I can run my air conditioner.

I also frequently use it outside (I have a handy 12volt plug)

The "feet" of the fan fold out of the way making it easy to store.

I am very pleased with it and and would not be without it.

The Fan Tastic Vent Corp 01100WH Endless Breeze 12V Volt Fan is an acceptably good product and would probably rate a 4/5 on value... I kinda like it but it's a tad bit expensive.

What you don't know is its power draw and that's a big deal to those of us living inside battery constraints. I have measured it and I'll share:

low: 15 Watts or 1.25 amps @ 12 VDC

medium: 27 Watts or 2.25 amps

high: 35 Watts or close to 3 amps

But... Fan-Tastic should have published that! The fact that *I* had to document their product cost 'em a star!

We tried to find a 12v fan for the cabin of our boat. We needed a safe one because of the chance of small children putting their fingers too close, and one that actually put out a breeze.This is perfect. Totally enclosed and it puts out a breeze equal to large box fans or better.

I got this fan to run off of a 12V battery during power outages (hurricane preparedness plan stuff). It is a nice plastic fan and it does what it says it will do. But there's nothing about this fan that makes it look any better built than any other AC powered fan this size that is made out of plastic, and sells for under half the price. This fan is built in the USA, which is nice. Maybe that's the reason for the cost.

Oh well, as stated before, the fan does exactly what it says it will do, and does it well. Current draw is something like 1.29A, 1.85A, and 2.29A (measured with a Fluke 179 DVM) on the three settings. So my Optima YEL34 (55AH) battery could run it for a very long time on the low setting.

In any case, there is no worth opponent/competition for this fan that I've found. If you want a 12V fan that is capable of keeping two or more people cool, this is the only worthwhile alternative. If it holds up well over the years, I'll feel ok about the cost.

My husband and I own a home in Baja California and operate it with solar energy.

Temperatures can get very hot in the night while we try to sleep.

My husband looked at the spec's on this fan and thought the energy output

was very good.

We have had many 12v fans and none come close to this product.

We used it when we were there and were so surprised at the air movement.

We didn't need to use the high speed it kept a nice breeze going all night and was very quiet.

We highly recommend it to anyone.

Keeping a houseboat cool on hot summer days can be a challenge. Rather than run the air conditioner and burn up gas (which isn't cheap these days), we wanted a good fan that would really move the air. This fan surprised even my extremely skeptical husband as it moves a great deal of air on all three speeds. In fact, we are so impressed with the Endless Breeze, we have another one on the way.

I am amazed at the amount of air that this fan moves, even at the lowest speed. I wasn't expecting much from a 12V fan, but this one delivered more than expected. I ordered the fan to add to my post-hurricane supplies, but think I'll use it for camping as well.

I purchased this fan to take to dog shows. It works great. I had heard about this fan from other dog show people. I use it with a portable battery pack and it works like a charm!! It has several speeds and has kept my dogs comfortable on hot days. I am able to easily run it all day without running out of power on my battery.

A great fan to travel with. I highly recommend.

This manufacturer produces the thermostatically controlled roof vent fan that came stock in my camper. It's nearly 10 years old and has never missed a beat. I also use a cheap portable 12 volt fan that left me dissatisfied. I've used this new fan for a few weeks now and can compare it to my cheap 12 volt clip-on fan. Although quite a bit more expensive than the generic 12 volt fans from the big box store, this fan is superior in the following areas:

1. Volume and velocity of air is much greater and has 3 speed adjustments.

2. Much quieter.

3. Made well (except for the feet, poor design, fragile, -1 point).

4. Motor doesn't cause interference on TV & radio (big plus).

5. Made in the USA

I would buy this product again.
