5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this cable now! It works as good as the $100+ Monster cables.
I couldn't believe it! I hesitated for a long time to buy any HDMI cables that would cost less than $50 per my belief that quality was measured by its price. Was I so wrong. I already own a "Monster 1000HD Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable 6 ft" which I have attached on my Samsung Blu-Ray player to my HDTV. I bought 2 of these and a HDMI switch for use between my HD Dish receiver and my TV. The TV had only one HDMI port, already connected to a DVD unit. As soon as I turned the equipment on, there were problems. No input, then purple, pink, or green screens, then a perfect picture. The cycle would repeat at random. 5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this cable now! It works as good as the $100+ Monster cables., September 12, 2009

A week ago I purchased the HP 23" HD LCD Monitor model# w2338h which has an HDMI input for my PC. I also purchased Sony's newest 6.6' 1080p HDMI cable at $40 to attach my new monitor. The picture was simply awesome. Upon reviewing the many reviews here at amazon.com about a "HDMI Cable-2 Meter (6.6 ft) Gold Plated v1.3 HDMI to HDMI Cable with Ferrite Cores" for $7.99, I decided to buy it and give it a try. I figured that if it did not work as good as my Sony cable, it would just be $8 lost. A week later I got this cable and I immediately unplugged the Sony HDMI cable and plugged the $8 HDMI in its place. To my amazement I was shocked in disbelief that such a cheap cable could deliver the same high quality picture to my PC. Yet, I was determined to find a flaw. So I went through the trouble of unplugging my $130 Monster cable from my home theater system and compare it. I found that the $130 Monster cable looked just as good as the $40 Sony cable and as just as good as my newest $8 cable. Interference on any of my 3 cables is non-existent. I am now a believer. Going forward, I will now buy this $8 HDMI cable for all my HD connections.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect cable for the PS3 & a HD LCD TV, October 14, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fanatic Digital Gold-Plated HDMI Cable with ferrite cores (2 meters/6 feet) (Electronics)
We recently purchased a PS3 and wanted to hook it up via HDMI. As I searched for a cable, I came across ones that ranged from $5 to nearly $100. I was quite baffled at the difference and read many reviews for each product. The conclusion I came away with was that a high dollar cable was simply not needed. This seems to be a common ploy with many of the component and HDMI cables nowadays and is simply ridiculous.

We ordered the cable, received it 2 days later via Amazon Prime, and hooked up our new PS3 without any issues or problems with the display, etc. I am very happy that I did not spend over ten bucks and am thankful to all the other reviewers who helped me realize this cable was all that I needed.

UPDATE: I did some additional & extensive research online, including information provided by experts and cable providers in the field (e.g. Blue Jeans Cable) and my assessment above is accurate in regards to cables less than 15 feet in length. The only time you need a higher quality cable is when it will meet or exceed that limit, otherwise the signal will start degrading. The same principles apply to many other types of cable. The degradation can include lines, snow, blurry images, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful value, July 13, 2008

I had considered going with a competitor (Monoprice), but then I thought wait... let's check Amazon and look for a product that's Prime eligible. Enter HDMI King's cable.

The product works great -- don't even consider going with a higher-priced option when this serves the same need. The salesman at Best Buy will try and talk you into a Monster cable or some other 'name brand' -- don't do it. This will give your PS3 everything it needs to output in glorious HD.

5.0 out of 5 stars HDMIKing HDMI 2 Meter Gold Plated Cable, July 13, 2009
This review is from: Fanatic Digital Gold-Plated HDMI Cable with ferrite cores (2 meters/6 feet) (Electronics)
This is my first purchase from HDMIKing. My background is technical with an MSEE Degree in Electrical Engineering with additional courses beyond and many years of experience. I am a member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers) and have been for many years.

The delivery from HDMIKing was fast and accurate. HDMIKing provided the following information that influenced my purchase:
1. Resolution - 1080p and beyond
2. EMF reduction - gold plating, double shielding and ferrite cores
3. Compatibility - various specs

The product performed well beyond my expectations in both video & audio in my new HD LCD TV and the price was good. The HDMIKing description of the article looked good and appears to be accurate. The cable increased the perfomance beyond what the Component cable provided for video & audio. I recommend this cable for any hardware with HDMI capablity.

I thought it was a connection problem and I spent 30 minutes trying to re-seat the connectors before driving to Walmart for replacements. I tried replacing one, but the problem persisted. I replaced the other, the problem continued. I had to replace both cables to fix the problem. Given the large number of 5 star reviews, I would give this product the benefit of the doubt and assume that these cables just don't play well with HDMI switchers. On a positive note, the vendor, HDMI King, has great customer service and refunded the the price in full without question.

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THESE! Don't blow money on more expensive cables!, August 28, 2008

I bought two of these cables from HDMIKing and not only are they excellently crafted, they are PERFECT for my 1080p needs! I bought a 3 foot 1.3 rated cable from Walmart for $27.54 plus tax. I won't be making that mistake again :) I was concerned when I ordered these cables, hoping that I wasn't throwing away good money. The positive reviews I read HERE convinced me to take the chance. So now I'm giving back, adding my pure positive review to the others. DON'T worry, these will work great for your system :)

NOTE: The cables are twice as long as I really needed, but they are quite slim and extremely flexible, so don't worry about excess cable stiffly causing bundle problems for your setup!

I was leary of buying this cable because they are soooooo much more expensive in the store; I was sure I would be sacrificing some quality. I was dead wrong, this cable provides absolutely perfect picture and sound all for less than you would pay for Component Cables at WalMart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great HDMI cables, April 27, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fanatic Digital Gold-Plated HDMI Cable with ferrite cores (2 meters/6 feet) (Electronics)
I bought these for my son for his Xbox 360 and plasma TV. He couldn't figure out why his output didn't look as good as his friend's. So he explained how his friend's TV is set up and how his own TV is set up. Well, the friend has an LCD TV and was using HDMI cables. My son has a plasma TV and was using the RCA cables.

When I explained to him what the difference was, he asked for HDMI cables. So, I ended up here on Amazon, where I buy about 80% of my online stuff. The cables were rated highly by MANY others and I value other customers' input immensely.

He got the cables fast (I'm an Amazon Prime customer) and he hooked it up. He called me up and thanked me profusely. He said it's now like his friend's setup and he feels like he's IN the game.

I have not yet done so, but I know I will buying one or more for myself as I have an LCD TV with multiple HDMI inputs. For $7 how can I not?

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfect between my Sony PS3 and Bravia, July 31, 2008

I ordered two of these cables just a couple of weeks ago and paid $6.49 each. The price has since dropped to only $3.38 as of today (wow!), but even at $6.49 these are a spectacular bargain. I'm just not sure what spending more on a Monster Cable, or Belkin, or Sony branded, or any of the other expensive cables would achieve.

The cable is high-quality with well formed contacts, gold plating and ferrite cores. While the ferrite cores may not be needed, I chose this cable specifically due to the cores because I have seen issues in the past -- with VGA cables -- be resolved as a result of their presence.

I connected one cable between my Sony PS3 and Sony Bravia and I have had zero issues even at full 1080p. I tested the other cable in the same fashion just to make sure; no problems. Both are excellent cables resulting in a superb picture! I cannot ask for more. I'm even tempted to buy extras since they now cost nearly 50% less than just two weeks ago, but my Bravia has only two HDMI inputs and I've already purchased two cables.

Don't pass this one up.

The item i ordered from hdmiKing, was an hdmi cable. They showed that they are worthy of a 5 star rating based on these things: shipping and delivery time, quality of product recieved, and especially; price. This item would have easily been 3 times the price at a mainstream retail store. Thanks for reading :)
