5.0 out of 5 stars Fun!
I was surprised at how strong the spring is. It works great, really only for kids, as the can obviously doesn't look realistic to adults. Good laugh!

1.0 out of 5 stars not like it use to be
This snake in a can was nothing like they use to be. First of all the can did not even rattle like it had nuts in it and second when you opened the can the snake did not even jump completely out of the can and third the snake was plastic paper stuff.
It was so bad I did not even give it to my six year old nephew I had to go buy something else. I would not recommend...

The picture shows the classic nut can we all remember - metal - and with a cloth-covered spring snake. This thing is a dinky plastic container with a very short plastic-covered snake. It has a round plastic top on the spring. When you open the plastic lid the snake slowly rises up about six inches and makes a squeaking sound. Not at all the big snake that jumps out with force. Cheap junk.

I ordered this item and was very dissappointed when I received it and opened it because I expected like a snake to jump out of the tin and it was nothing like that but just this annoying sound coming out slowly

got this for my 6 year old niece. she thought it was hilarious and it scared her too so everyone had fun with it. mostly its only for 1 time use though unless they can get someone with it who hasnt seen it before. its a very small can though and has a small snake in it. i thought it would be like a normal size one that would fly to the ceiling or accross the room but no but bounced out of the can but it was still funny. would reccomend if it was a bigger can and "snake".

This didn't pop out at you or scare you at out like a normal "pop out snake toy" is supposed to. It was slow and just plan stupid. Don't order this crap. Totally worthless.

I got this for my little boy and laughed endlessly watching him try it out on people. It's a home run stocking stuffer/party favor.

1.0 out of 5 stars Classic toy with a choking hazard, March 10, 2007
This review is from: Fancy Salted Mixed Nuts - The Classic Snake Nut Can (Toy)
There is a small white bead in the bottom of the SNAKE NUT CAN; it is a choking hazard for young children. (I think the bead is included in the bottom of the "can" so that it sounds like there is something inside the can when you shake it.) When I opened the box of 25 SNAKE NUT CANS, many of the white beads and bottom lids were all over the box.

The SNAKE NUT CANS have too many pieces: plastic can, screw top, yellow spring(which represents the snake), bottom lid that pushes and comes out easily (it is supposed to conceal the hits bead), and white bead.

I expected it to have 3 parts: can, screw top, and spring (which represents the snake). The bottom lid is cumbersome (and comes out easily)and the white bead is a choking hazard.

Vendor did not allow me to return this item because I ordered more than 24. Amazon helped me resolve this issue.

this was great fun.. my sister's boyfriend got really weird one night and wouldn't share any cashews.. Great Value Walmart brand cashews no less, he just didn't want to open his "fresh" cashews and share a few.. kinda crazy behavior for an adult if you ask me.. anyways, so for Christmas I purchased this product w/the intent of putting the snake in his cashew container... well, it wouldn't fit, so before he came home from work one night and I was at their house he mentioned he had a headache.. great opportunity there, but their preferred method of pain relief is advil and the snake wouldn't fit in the bottle.. so after hiding all the advil and thanks Walmart again and their generic acetaminophen we were able to wrangle the snake into the bottle... we tested it out and it worked like a charm.. so he comes home eventually and says his headache went away.. great.. thanks to some great acting my sister feigned one herself and i went searching for some relief.. "would you like advil or tylenol? oh tylenol? ok.. well I can't get the bottle open.. joe, can you open this for me, please?" "what? no advil? lemme look...." "No the tylenol is fine.." "OK"... "Why is their silky panties in this bottle?" Of course the snake didn't come out the second time... figures! He eventually restuffed it and opened the container.. what I would have given for that to happen on the outset.. pills went flying everywhere.. woulda been AWESOME! But there's the old sayings "beginner's luck" and "third time's a charm"-- second time around no dice.. woulda been priceless, but at least he got 10lbs of cashews from SAM's albeit Planter's brand for xmas. what a jerk.
