From the Back Cover

American Indians:

Crazy Horse, Kennewick Man, Navajo code talkers, and Geronimo, the unyielding Apache rebel. Fandex American Indians introduces 50 North American tribes through their people, history, myths and culture.

Legendary figures, from the Ottowa chief Pontiac to the Lakota warrior and mystic Sitting Bull. Events of great historical moments—the tragic Cherokee Trail of Tears. And the tribes themselves, including the first native people to encounter Europeans—the Inuit, believed to have had contact with the Vikings around A.D 984. It's a coast-to-coast visual encyclopedia, filled with portraits, historical photographs, artifacts, tribal artwork, and lithographs.

By A Customer
This review is from: Fandex Family Field Guides: American Indians (Cards)
A concise review of 50 native American tribes in a well written, lively format. Enormous amount of information. I have a new appreciation for the diversity of cultures that flourished here long before any of my relatives stepped ashore!

Do you have a favorite Book Buddy or Agnes Pflumm book? I do it is called Native Americans Fandex. I picked this book because it is very factual, like it says about Penobscot,Wampanoag,Cherokee,Seminole and Ho-Chunk. I also picked this bokk because of myharritage. I am half Indian, half white. M tribe is LUMBEE. I read this book to learn more about Indians and it is helping.

4.0 out of 5 stars Native Americans, April 16, 2009
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Fandex Family Field Guides: American Indians (Cards)
Do you have a book you really do like? Well, I do and its called Native Americans. I know it is not so much but when you read it feels like your in the book living it. Now is that a good book? I think so but I'll let you on with a little bit. Well, the book is about Native Americans and it talks about how they lived and where did they live. Also, some of it was saying how they survived. Also the different tribes. Mostly what they taiked about was Native Americans. What climate they lived in also. Now you know why I like Native Americans and what they do to survive in the wild.
