These fan-produced comics are the first "underground comics" so to speak.... Schelly has come up with a collection of really enjoyable complete amateur comic strips/stories, by people you've never heard of but should: Ronn Foss, Biljo White, Dave Herring, Landon Chesney, many others. There are super heroes, horror strips, jungle adventure, comedy, all kinds of strips in here, including stuff by Jeffrey Catharine Jones, Wendy and Richard Pini, Jim Shooter, Roy Thomas, and others who went on to stellar careers.

All the love and care that went into these graphic stories is evident on every page. You can really escape into the worlds they created. There isn't a lot of annotation, but there's enough to put it all into context. It's a well produced book, well worth anyone's dollar. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!
