I Loved Christian!!!, January 18, 2006
The second story in the "Young Brother's" series "Fangs but no Fangs" is without a doubt one of the best paranormal vampire romances in publication. Ms. Love has taken the dark Christian (we met him in "Fangs for the Memories") and made this anti-hero a wonderful romance hero!
Christian Young is looking for redemption after reaching rock bottom. Now this vampire has left all of his creature comforts behind in order to live his own twelve-step program. He's going to live like a human. Well, this is easier said then done and just when he thinks that life can't get any worse he becomes the reluctant hero when he saves Jolee Dugan from her knife-wielding brother. Now his somewhat well ordered life is about to get a lot more complicated then ever before. Why now after all these years is he attracted to a mortal?
Jolee is trying so hard to escape the taint of her family. Too bad her family and her past keep intruding on the life she's trying to make. When handsome yummy man from across the street saves her from her kid brother she's grateful. When same yummy guy accidentally tries to run her off the road...well, that's just not something a hero would do...no matter that it was an accident. Well, now she can't keep her mind off of Christian and Christian seems to be not inclined to ignoring her. Well, you can't dodge fate and fate has plans for these two wounded and lost souls. Even though they find love with the other, will they be able to hold on to it, or will life inevitably get in the way?
This is a story about finding redemption and acceptance. Jolee and Christian are wonderfully crafted characters the reader will feel connected the moment they start the story. Ms. Love has an amazing talent for telling a story and her vision of the vampire legend is fresh and unique. It takes a very strong talent to take a villain and turn him into a sympathetic, likeable hero. Ms. Love has managed to do this. This is one author that truly shines in the romance genre!

2nd Vampire Brothers Book, February 17, 2006
Christian Young is in a self-imposed twelve-step program on How to be More Human. After destroying his brother's life, he has decided to give up everything that makes him a vampire. Saying so long to luxurious houses, cars, and biting for food, Christian now lives in a trailer park sucking rationed blood bags. His only indulgence is his Porsche. When he saves his next-door neighbor, Jolee, from her knife-wielding brother, Christian wonders if being human is any better than playing one.
Jolee has lived a difficult life. Her brothers have a penchant for crime, while her sisters tend to be rather easy. Yet Jolee is nothing like her family. All she wants is to make her bar, Leo's Brew Pub, a success through her own hard work and dedication. She didn't expect Mr. Fancy Pants to save her life and sweep her off her feet. Maybe opposites can attract.
Fangs But No Fangs is about Christian Young, the second of Ms. Love's Young vampire brothers. His twelve-step program is quite ingenious, it even had me thinking I should adapt one or two of those steps into my own life. Jolee and Christian each offer a gift that neither expects from the other. Jolee helps him realize that love doesn't have to involve pain. Likewise, Christian shows Jolee that not all men are in it for sex. They have their awkward moments together, especially when the past rears it's ugly head. Secondary characters help them face their personal demons and learn that the past doesn't have to ruin the future. It will be interesting to see how Sebastian, the youngest Young brother, meets his match next!

Who would've Thought Change was Possible, March 5, 2006
Kathy Love is a remarkable author and the second installment of her "Fangs" trilogy is truly fantastic.
Who would have thought bad boy "Christian Young", middle brother of the Young brothers' clan, could be redeemed after years of hating/blaming his older brother Rhys for the death of his beloved "Lilah" who really was a "B" and definitely not the woman/vampire Christian believed her to be.
After doing what he believes to be the unspeakable to brother Rhys' now bride, Jane, mentioned in "Fangs for the Memories" Christian runs off to a rundown trailer park in the middle of nowhere to teach himself a little about humanity. There he meets and eventually falls for Jolee, bar owner, from the wrong side of tracks who wants to achieve something in life and to accomplish what she wants without having to live up the family shame as well as get away from the dysfunctional family to which she was born, but boy it's not easily getting away from a family with no morals or it appears no redeeming qualities.
After Christian saves Jolee from a confrontation with a man who turns out to be her brother, Christian realizes this is actually his first attempt at fitting into human society and Jolee is the woman who's makes him want to become the best man/vampire that he can be. Christian and Jolee's relationship has a rocky beginning as they both have trust issues but once they begin to know each other, there's no turning back.
"Fangs but No Fangs" was a wonderful story and Ms. Love, keep doing what you're doing as you've got another fan rooting for you. I can't wait to read Sebastian's story cause if it's anything like the last two "Fangs for the Memories" and "Fangs but No Fangs" then I'm sure to be blown away once again.
