This three blade fan in metro gray with opal frosted glass is edgy art-in-motion that creates refreshing air circulation. It has the capability to move air forward and also in reverse, with the reverse switch located on the motor housing. The included remote allows for infinite light levels and 3 fan speeds. Tools required for assembly are a Phillips head screwdriver, a stepladder, a 1/4-inch blade screwdriver, a 9⁄16-inch socket head wrench, and a wire stripper. This UL listed fan includes two-60 watt candelabra bulbs, a 1-inch diameter x 6-inch downrod that fits a ceiling slope up to 30 degrees, a wireless handheld remote control (C20), three wire connectors, and a limited lifetime motor warranty. It comes with detailed instructions and a customer service telephone number for product support. The energy information for the Torto is as follows. At high speed the airflow is 4400 Cubic Feet per Minute, the electricity use is 58 Watts (excluding lights), and the airflow efficiency is 76 Cubic Feet per Minute per Watt.

We bought this ceiling fan because we liked the design so much. Indeed it does look really cool in our bedroom. We were mildly annoyed that the downrod (ordered separately, from another company) took over a week to reach us, whereas we had the fan itself in two days. The worst problem we have is that the motor housing appears to be slightly off-center, so that when the fan runs, there is a visible wobble at the bottom of the can. In spite of this, the fan seems to run smoothly, with no wobble in the blades or the downrod, so we haven't decided to return the unit. Another annoyance is that, even on the high speed, the fan doesn't seem to move much air. This is consistent with the specifications, which do say that the volume of air is less that many other models.

Bought this fan for our living room. We like unusual things and this fan fit the bill. It is pricey, but we do get the "oohs and ahhs" we expected we'd get. Remote is a bit flakey... must aim it right at the fan and sometimes it takes several attempts to get it to respond. Changed the battery and it behaves the same. It doesn't put out much light, but that's not a big deal to us. Worth it for the aesthetics alone.

This is a beautiful fan and worlds great. The remote control is great along with its holder that can be mounted on the light switch:-) I would highly recommend getting an electrician to install it because of the complex remote wiring.
