The production on this disc is so smooth and silky that one almost expects to hear Celine Dion's voice at some point. But the performances are all instrumental here, and organic. The track order is perfect, a near-perfect wave-form, peaking with Ravel's Tzigane. Her playing is exquisite and her tone reminds me of Zino Francescatti (a personal favorite). Of course, having just seen her perform the Tzigane live makes the CD all the more special to me. I can attest to how special this artist really is. At the beginning of her career now, it's going to be exciting to see what's to come.

I only discovered this artist - Nicola Benedetti - within the last few days.
Had the opportunity to listen to this disk in its entirety without interruption. The music needed when I want to relax. To be more clearer with this comment. Some program materials on other disks have 'louder' or faster passages mixed with slower tempos. This comment is NOT intended to say anything negative at all but merely saying - I will choose this disk when I'm in a certain mood.

This disk was so mellow (sweet) all the way through.
Nicola is quite talented just as other artists found today - I commend all of them for giving us musical treasures - sharing their lives with us!

I discovered Nicola has, looks like, four other releases - I just ordered them.
