Editorial Reviews

Taken from the Iradelphic sessions Clark announces the Fantasm Planes EP, a six track 12'' releasing September 4th. A counterpart to Iradelphic featuring variations on album tracks as well as completely unheard gems, one of which is the title track which was premiered on KCRW in June. Fantasm Planes sees Clark exploring the harder, more dancefloor orientated side of his work, which coincides with his live sound to be showcased across the US this September.

While Iradelphic was a great departure from Clark's previous soundscapes, Fantasm Planes doesn't quite find its own identity as well as the former did. While some songs are amazing standouts, like the ComTouched remix and Brigitte, others are completely forgettable. On a disc with 6 tracks, you can't really afford to have too many that fall flat. However, even the songs that aren't phenomenal are still pleasant to listen to and don't ruin the experience of tracks like the aforementioned Brigitte, which is almost worth the price of admission on its own. Give the EP a listen and see if you'd rather pick and choose tracks before you buy the whole thing.
