5.0 out of 5 stars Watch out for Thing's hands!
Similar to the Hulk hands this toy is lots of fun! Big soft foam hands make crashing noises and says a phrase.
Great for pretend play. I recommend them for kids 5 and up.
Comes with batteries so they are ready to play with right out of the box.

1.0 out of 5 stars SAFETY HAZARD
While watching the news this evening I saw a broadcast of the Top 10 Hazardous Toys for 2005. This product was on the list for causing severe damage if a child hits another child or a pet. The blunt force can be very serious. I have seen this product in the stores for many weeks now and am sure many have been bought with the hype of the movie. I would say after seeing...

My son absolutely adores his hulk hands so when he saw these he immediately wanted them. They are basically the same product but teamed up with the feet, mask and chestplate (sold separately) they become a complete costume. He loves dress up and these are perfect! They are fun and durable but dont really hurt if he hits his sister! :) I saw the review that someone else wrote about them not being safe and I have to disagree. If your child believes he can pick up heavy objects just because he is wearing the hands perhaps he is too young for the product, although my son has been enjoying his hulk hands since he was 3 without a problem..well except for the fact that they used to go up to his shoulders!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love 'Em!, July 26, 2006

My kids love these!! I bought one for each of my 2 boys and after our friend cmae over and her son played with them he got a pair for his BDay too! Gets kids up and moving, off the idiot box!
As far as the danger of blunt force trauma... (are you kidding me??!!) Its a lot less than when my 3 year old launches a toy truck at my 7 year old!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest College Toy For Under 20 Bucks, August 21, 2005

My friend Lennon and I are headed back to college, The University of New Haven and St. Michael's College in Vermont respectively, next week. We both were in search of a fun toy to break out at parties as a conversation piece and aid for scoring with some freshmen girls.
The first toy that came to mind was not really a toy at all. The at-home breathalizer was quickly dismissed because of its pricetag.
We thought about making beer koozies by cutting cylindrical sections out of Hulk Hands, but after a little research, we realized they had been pulled from the market with the release of the Fantasic 4 Thing Hands.
For 8 dollars each, Lennon and I will be bringing the best koozies we have ever seen to school. The best part is that once you are finished with your beer, you can punch a wall, crush the can, and hear Thing say, "It's Clobberin' Time!" all without damaging the wall.
Great product made better with a little surgery done to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Know What They Say About Big Thing Hands, May 24, 2006

WHAT?! I see reviews saying that the Fantastic 4 Movie Electronic Thing Hands are similar to the Hulk Movie Electronic Hands that came out a few years back. ARE YOU KIDDING?! That is the densest thing I've ever heard! First of all, the Hulk hands were green.

But anyway, these hands are great for so many things...they are truly the world's most versatile toy. So I've decided to list the things they are NOT good for:

1) Homemade popsicles (unless you have a big freezer)
2) Reasoning with a jury.
3) Using post-it notes.
4) Praying to God.
5) Scrapbooking.

That's it. For every other situation they're ideal.

I was surprised that ToysRUs still had it on the website for sale.

When boys put this on they think they are The Thing and then try lifting heavy things and end up getting seriously hurt.
