A Nice Reader For Young Children,
This review is from: Fantastic Four: Meet the Fantastic Four (Fantastic 4 Festival Readers) (Paperback)
Since "Fantastic Four" is rated PG-13, many younger children will not be able to watch the film. This book, a Festival Reader, conveniently packages the beginning of the film into an easily accessible reader for the younger audience. It introduces the children to Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing, which is exactly what the title states.
It does briefly mention Dr. Doom, but his character is left for later volumes in this small series. Everything is nicely packaged so that it doesn't come across too strong for young readers. Recommended to folks with young children with an interest in the "Fantastic Four." Also, it does encourage youngsters to read in order to learn about their heroes. In case you're wondering, the film received its PG-13 rating for violence and some strong language. In fact, take out some of the cursing, and you've got a really good film that teaches audiences about working together and getting along as a family. |
