This review is from: The Most Fantastic Atlas of the Whole Wide World...By The Brainwaves (Hardcover)
This is a great book for the creative learner to absorb tid-bits of geographical information. It will make one aware of their expansive world and diverse populations. Great for encouraging need for deeper study. As stated earlier, there is small writing, so it's good for older children and adults who won't tire of that. This may not hold the attention spans of smaller children for that reason. The illustrations are lovely with plenty of colorfully designed fold-out pages.
CON: So much info. packed on pages can make me feel a little sick looking at it for too long. Every country of world is represented IN BETWEEN diagrams of geographical features. Good resource for the creatively detail-oriented.

I bought this book for my husband because we love atlases. It is clever and fascinating, but full of humorous comments and illustrations that are just too small for us to make out with our middle-aged vision. We had to pass it on to our adult kids, much to our disappointment. We highly recommend it for young families--young parents and kids will be able to enjoy it together. It really may be the most fantastic atlas out there!
