This review is from: Fantastic 4: Flame-On Human Torch 6" Figure (Toy)
This figure is MUCH better than any version of the Human Torch I've seen. He can be used with the other figures from the Fantastic Four movie OR your Marvel Legends figures. He is made out of a translucent plastic, so much of his face and costume detail is not easily seen. Even the joints connecting the arms and legs of this figure are colored the same as the rest of the body, so you don't notice it as much when light passes through the figure. He's also the same scale as Marvel Legends. These two factors alone make him perfect for use with other Marvel Legends figures. Another benefit of this figure is its articulation. It's great! The joints were tight and even the fingers are articulated! I've noticed that the sculpt of this figure is very close to the sculpt of Mr. Fantastic from this series-the one with the snap-on, bendy attachments. So, for those of you who like to customize your figures, you could easily swap out the gloves and boots from Mr. Fantastic to the Human Torch to go for that "partially flamed-off" look (i.e., the Torch's ability to control his flaming power over certain parts of his body). This figure also comes with a nice "light and sound" function. Press the button on his back and his head/upper chest area is illuminated by 3 red lights inside the figure. Because of this function, the nodding movement of his head isn't as great as it could be. But, you'll never even miss it. You can place the figure on its display stand and press the button on the stand to hear him say, "Flame on!-----Fwooshhhh!" The aforementioned red lights then blink a couple of times during the "Fwoosh" part to-I believe-simulate the sound Johnny Storm makes when turning into the Human Torch. I could be wrong. In any case, the display stand is not wall mountable, but could be if someone were crafty enough. Another nice touch is the tongues of "flame" coiled around the figure's arms, legs, and torso to make it look like he's really on fire. I can't say enough good things about this figure and highly recommend it to any Fantastic Four/Marvel Legends fan. He's well stocked so getting one or two should not present a problem. It is well worth the money you spend on it.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fantastic 4: Flame-On Human Torch 6" Figure (Toy)
I ordered the action figure of Human torch for my son- it was supposed to have lights and sounds. The one that was sent was entirely different- with NO lights or sounds. Unfortunately, my son and I had ripped it open when it came out of the packaging before I realized this is not what I ordered. I've sent the seller an email and am awaiting a response. I will update...
