Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

YA?This attractive book for experienced crafters begins with a chapter on the construction of inexpensive gift items such as a document folder or picture frame. The next chapter gives instructions for making bowls and boxes of various sizes as well as a desk holder. The final chapter explains how to make more complex free-standing forms: cranes in flight, sun and moon, or an elephant. There are instructions on basic techniques and paper selection. The sketches and numerous clear diagrams are helpful, and the physical layout of the book and the vivid photographs have considerable charm.?Frances Reiher, Fairfax County Public Library, VA

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool Book!, February 17, 2001
This review is from: Fantastic Folds: Origami Projects (Paperback)
This book has lots of color photos and pretty simple instructions. I would not exactly recommend this book for beginners. Most of the projects are pretty easy, but there are a few that are tricky and time consuming. Over all a pretty good book to have in you collection if you into Origami.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for beginners, October 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Fantastic Folds: Origami Projects (Paperback)
This is a very good book for beginners to cut their teeth on. Some very good projects that are practical as well as fun to make. The only drawback of this book would be the lack of history regarding origami, etc. I would have been interested in learning more about how origami came about and evolved into its present form.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good range of projects, February 20, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Fantastic Folds: Origami Projects (Paperback)
This book is great for all, beginer / intermediate / advenced. It has a wide range of projects that are fun to make, but some are very difficult. I would recomend this book for not-so-serious folders.
