5.0 out of 5 stars Great Characterizations!
A really wonderful book for an Marvel Comics fan - especially for fans of the FF! As a reader of the Fantastic Four for nearly 40 years, I found the characterizations to be dead-on accurate. Even though the author takes pains to give lots of time to each member of the FF, he makes sure to include the rest of the Marvel Universe, as well.

One of the joys...

2.0 out of 5 stars Slow Fantastic Four
Story extremely slow moving and when it finally picks up it is practically the end of the book. Fantastic Four doesn't translate well into Paperback book form.

This review is from: Fantastic Four: Doomgate (Fantastic Four (Pocket)) (Mass Market Paperback)

One of the joys of Marvel is the feeling that any character may swing through a scene, even if they don't really get involved in the storyline. Thanks to the knowledge of the Marvel Universe and amazingly current storyline info from the monthly comics coming out over the past few years, the author gives us the added bonus of Tony Stark/Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Daredevil, & even H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot.

The book is very upbeat, too, making you realize that - even with some faults and bickering - these are heroes you want to read about and spend time with!

All in all, a very enjoyable read. I hope Jeffery Lang will write more FF books in the future, 'cause I'll definitely buy them! (Maybe he would even consider writing the monthly comic book!)
