This has all the window treatment of a blockbuster film. The elgant custscenes. The HUGE hard drive space (this is on 4 CD roms). The voice actors from the feature film. And, of course, superheroes. This jumps right into the action and barely lets up. Fluid graphics that are only occasionally blocky. Great fire and smoke effects. Sound quality is top notch. PLENTY of levels. Basic puzzle solving peppers a mostly battle-intensive game that takes you through a generous number of scenarios. Lots of different locales keep this very fresh. No problem installing this either. About 2.5 GIG in size. On a high end system (P4 3.2 GHZ / 2 GIG RAM / 256 MB PCI-EXPRESS VIDEO ) this runs flawlessly. As it should. The requirements are quite low for such an attractive program. All that being said, there really is nothing new here. Just a well polished fighting game with some very interesting characters. Nothing wrong with that. But it would've been nice to see something new. Also, there is no vocal lipsynching in the animation. Meaning, they simply have generic mouth movements while the dialogue is rolling. Not a big deal, but it can be distracting. For such a high profile program, it would be nice to see more polish. I did enjoy the swapping between characters to perform hero-specific abilities. If you are someone who enjoys a good street fighting game with minor RPG elements then this is a game for you.

I'am not that much of a gamer and if the game require to much thought, I tend to lose interest. I was interested in this game because as a kid I liked the Fantastic Four comicbook and thought this might bring back some childhood memories. Once I started playing I sort of got caught up in it. There are definilty better fighting games on the market, but if you play in the easy mode you definitly will be satisfied by the tasks you accomplish. For good mindless fun, this game is good.

I've got to give credit to a game that can run on an operating system or two that came out after it was published. I just got at touch of nostalgia and installed it. Everything went fine and I can start up levels and play, so it's safe to say that it is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. I couldn't find that information anywhere searching online, so I hope that helps if you're trying to decide. The game is also on PS2.Basically, it's a 3rd person adventure/fighter type game where you run around with your character and beat up on enemies with various different attacks, generally a weak and strong. There are also those button pressing ones like God of War on PS2 where you can do a fantastic, if you'll forgive the pun, finishing move. I should note they're only for certain larger enemies and that you don't actually have to do those moves, you can beat the enemy to death the old fashioned way. However, the final boss requires you to perform a very tricky one to finally defeat him, so you're best off learning how to do them early and practicing. As far as I recall, you always have at least one partner with you. You can switch between them at will. Who pairs with whom changes during the game, but you'll probably quickly have a favorite and least favorite. The game length was pretty good and the graphics are decent. By today's standards, it doesn't hold up as well as say Ultimate Spider-man does, but it's quite servicable. This isn't the greatest game ever, it's not unique, but it's still fun and a decent value especially as cheap as it is now. If you've got a low end Windows 7 computer (not sure if a laptop graphics card would work), it's cheap entertainment. 2115|RAAB3RIIGGU2U;2115|R3KT8AFB0HZVHJ;2115|R342ZI9W20U06V;
