1.0 out of 5 stars This cd was a waste of $11!
I would not reccomend this album to my worst enemy! I thought it was poorly recorded and the creation and ideas are even worse! Dont waste your money...buy Digital Empire II instead!

5.0 out of 5 stars Are you flattered?, May 10, 1999

I only have 2 CDs, Fantastic Voyage, and Slayer. I can only listen to slayer for a little while but fantasic voyage is the best for travelling, especially on trains. Layers keep coming up- thats the real thing.

"Ancient Gods" is on right now- it sounds like the soundtrack of a Godard film.

5.0 out of 5 stars I WISH BECK WAS THIS CRAZY, December 16, 1998

Imagine Prodigy but funkier--wierder! This cd is layered like a sundae and hot like apple pie! Every time I listen to it I hear something new. I'm a hard core cyclist and Fantastic Voyage is the perfect music to get me going--starts out easy and then builds and builds. My girlfiend says this is dance music for people who really LIKE TO DANCE!!!! It's true--she goes nuts to this one. PRINCE CHARMING SOUNDS SEXY!!!! That was my girlfiend again. Hmmm...maybe I shouldn't recommend this to guys with fickle ladyfriends.

5.0 out of 5 stars spooky, in the deep dark caverns of subconcious synapsis, December 25, 1998

This review is from: Fantastic Voyage (Audio CD)
The Prince Charms us once again with sounds that rattle cerebral cells forming memories of the womb that may or may not exist in liniar reality but definetly delivers moments that make me wonder why I ever left in the first place. The everchanging, always intreguing beats grip your ears by the lobes forcing histerial surges of head bobbing while the melodic pouncing tricks the brain into firing a pre-emptive pulse of clownergy that spreads expedentially like a funky fungus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool!, December 19, 1998

I'm listening to fantastic voyage right now. I think it's great. If I had to characterize it for someone in a way that hasn't been used yet, I'd say it's the record David Holmes and Lee Perry never made for Asphodel.

5.0 out of 5 stars The future of rock???, December 28, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Fantastic Voyage (Audio CD)
This thing hasn't left my cd player for two weeks! Each song is so different. Is that a whole middle eastern orchestra backing him up on "Fresh Prince of Belle Isle"? This guy's probably loaded. One of my friends told me he's the pretender to the English throne. Is that right!!? Who are these other guys singing on this thing...Slippy...Dr. Philosophy Major?...I don't think I want to meet any of these guys in a dark alley. If you like the IDEA of goth but think everything goth out there is stupid, definitely get this cd! One of my Brit friends said this cd's getting mad play on the John Peel show. It deserves it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ouch., January 26, 1999

This is truly next level. I guess I should have expected something like this from the label that brought us Prince Paul (De La Soul), Sensational (Jungle Brothers), and Doug Scharin's Him (June of 44, Rex). Funky, strange and sometimes even a bit melancholy, I simply did not see this one coming. I'm afraid it may be lost on most Americans. Maybe I'm being unfair.
