DirectionsStove Top: Rinse rice well. Bring specified amount of water to a boil. Add rice & stir. Boil again, lower heat, & cover. Simmer for required time or until all the water has been absorbed. Stir to fluff. Remove from heat & allow to stand 5 minutes. Stir before serving. Microwave: Rinse rice well. Combine hot water & rice in 1-2qt microwaveable casserole. Cover & cook on high for required time. Stir. Let stand covered about 5 minutes until most of liquid is absorbed or rice is tender. Stir. Serve. (Microwave ovens vary; cooking time is approximate.) 1/4 cup dry rice yields about 3/4 cup prepared.
