Book Description

Cora Goode has woken up in a fairytale world where she can understand what birds are saying to her, men ride horses and have fluffy feathers in their hats and furniture zigs, zags and whirls in miracles of construction.

The problem is, she thinks she’s in a dream but she’s actually taken the place of the parallel universe Cora and without realizing it, our Cora does something that starts a centuries old curse that will sweep the land if she gets captured by the evil Minerva.

At this point, her dream world becomes a nightmare.

Luckily, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno is there to save her from the clutches of the grotesque vickrants sent by Minerva to capture her. Unfortunately, hot guy, fantasyland Noctorno doesn’t like the Cora of his world all that much (to say the least) and he thinks our Cora is her. And no matter what our Cora says or does to try to convince him, he won’t be convinced.

But Cora needs Tor to keep her safe and guide her through this fantastical world as she hopes one day to wake up in her not-so-great apartment in her not-so-great life in her world. The problem is, the more time she spends with the gorgeous warrior Tor, the faster she falls in love with him.

5.0 out of 5 stars oh no!! we have to wait!! November 8, 2013

4.5 stars

Noctorno “Tor” Hawthorne, hot prince and bad ass warrior saves poor Cora Goode (Cora the Exquisite) from the vickrant’s talons sent by the evil witch Minerva. A lonely girl from Seattle that mysteriously finds herself in a world straight out of a disney cartoon movie and involved in a curse! Tor and Cora are two halves of a whole, souls parted that are destined to be together, their love story was written in the heavens. They become part of Minerva plot to cause chaos throughout the lands. Fantastical is a lovely romance story with a major steam factor (oh yeah... these two are hot together). I adored Tor, he’s handsome, valiant, courageous and funny.

This story ends in a CLIFFY! Leaving me craving to find out what is in store for their world....kingdoms unite, the players and battle fields are set and the witches are pooling their powers together...I can not wait to see what happens next!

5.0 out of 5 stars She cannot write fast enough February 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Oh boy.
Holy Moley! Why cant something like this happen to me????

I started with Sweet Dreams. It funny, when I was choosing a book to read, I skipped over All of these. After Sweet Dreams, I had to have more. I plowed through each series. I thought I wouldn't like The Burg series. Boy was I wrong. Dream Man didn't interest me on the face, but since I had run out of books, I dove right in. The one I thought I wouldn't like, I liked best. Now I am working on the stand alone books by KA. I LOVE Every thing she has written. Some reviewers have mentioned that she goes into too much detail. Uh, No she doesn't. When I read these stories, I am There. I can look around a room and in my minds eye see it all. I have no idea what im gonna do when im finished with all of her books. Write on KA!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun grown up fairytale. June 26, 2012
By Debra E
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a fun read. Kristen Ashley delivers a grown up fairytale romance complete with her signature hot alpha hero and spunky heroine.

Cora wakes up in an alternate universe and unwittingly unleashes a curse upon that land, requiring hot alpha male Noctorno to keep her safe until the situation can be controlled. If you've read any of KA's other books, well we all know what that means.

I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next one.

Kristen Ashley does a great job with story telling and her hero's are awesome. Really liked this story but so far Golden Dynasty is the best of the three. You really can't go wrong with any of her stories!

4.0 out of 5 stars I will read anything my Kristen Ashley, love her books!
Really great series. Only negative is the story seemed to lose momentum about 60% for a few chapters but then it picked up nicely and ended kickass.

More About the Author

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen's Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing's changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she's blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
