This review is from: Final Fantasy Crisis Core Play Arts Action Figure Cloud Strife (Toy)
So--this Crisis Core figure is probably the fourth or fifth you've seen of Cloud Strife. It's not his classic appearance, but personally I believe it's one of the best representations of his character.

This particular figure of Cloud is very well done: the paint job is clean, the articulation is well hidden, and I really like the facial expression. (Maybe it was just me, but his expression appears different when seen from various angles. In this case that is a good thing.)
Also included are a black stand, gun, tonfa, extra hands, and even an extra head wearing the helmet! This means you effectively get a Shinra MP figure as well as Cloud Strife, which is pretty cool--except I thought the helmet head had a weird face, so I haven't used it. I might add that the exposed arms seem too pale, but that doesn't bother me much.

As long as it's handled carefully, I don't see any issues with durability. Still, Play Arts figures are better for display than robust posing.

Overall, this is an attractive, high-quality piece which accurately depicts Cloud from his earlier days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cloud Strife - Beautiful Replica, February 3, 2011

This review is from: Final Fantasy Crisis Core Play Arts Action Figure Cloud Strife (Toy)
This figure is a beautiful representation of Cloud Strife from Crisis Core. The details are painted perfectly, and they look clean and realistic. The wear on his shoulder protectors also looks real and well-painted. The joints are always stiff when these figures are first unwrapped, but after moving them gently they become extremely poseable. This Cloud also comes with a rifle, extra head (wearing the Shin-Ra infantryman's helmet), and extra hands. It is extremely high-quality for the price, and I would recommend it whole-heartedly for anyone who collects Play Arts figures or is a fan of the Final Fantasy series. However, this figure is not made to be played with or treated roughly, and the extra hands and helmet are just small enough to be swallowed by young children, so this is not recommended as a children's toy.

Purchased for my boyfriend and he loves that Cloud comes with a different head so he can be a random Soldier. The Play Arts figures are getting much more detailed and I'm sure any collector will appreciate that.
