3.0 out of 5 stars Wow i can still buy this?!, August 6, 2009

Very much like the other review I saw, risk.
You build units, each with different skills or abilities and movement.
You get to employ magic and gain powerful items that help you improve your empire and crush your enemies.
Also hero units which you can carry one or so with you between matches that will help a lot.

Also found a bug, if you save your game, then reload it, it gives you a whole turn of magic regeneration.

Enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Starngely compelling old dos game, August 26, 2008
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fantasy Empires (CD-ROM)
A bit like risk with lots more bells and whistles players control armies of elves, dwarves, halflings, orcs, and humans in a big to conquer Mystara. Heroes can be sent on quests or used to lead armies in battle, controlled territories can have various types of buildings on them allowing them to train different types of troops (dependent on the territory) and heroes. Winner is the last empire standing. In the campaign game your leader character can gain additional experience allowing them to field more capable heroes at the start of the game.

The graphics and interface are on par with what you'd expect of a 15 year old dos game and the end game gets tedious but the game is quite enjoyable over all.
