I Really Enjoyed This Book!!!,
By
This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
This is the first time I've ever read anything by Ms. Warren. It won't be my last!!! Although this is an erotic romance, Ms. Warren managed to pen a story with a fun storyline with great characters and not one aspect of this book was dropped due to the nature of the book!Regina has just broken up with a looser and is not really in the market for a new one. Her friends have another idea all together. They feel that they need to hook her up with her "Fantasy Fix". She is going to live out her most erotic fantasy whether she want to or not. Feeling cornered she writes down the most outrageous things she can think of knowing that they won't be able to pull it off. Well, Regina has no idea what's in store for her but she will sooner then she knows! Dmitri is not what he seems. He's tall, dark, yummy, and a vampire. He sees Regina across a crowded bar and realizes that she is his mate. The one woman that he has been looking for, for centuries. He only has to prove to her that he's what she wants. With his supernatural powers he finds out what he deepest darkest fanatasies are and sets to acting them out for her. Winning Regina's heart will not be easy but the chemistry between them is too hot and Regina can't seems to get Dmitri out of her head. Literally!! Will Regina find that she can't turn her back on the fantasy of her dreams? As I stated earlier this was a great romance. Romance being the key word in the previous sentence. Although this is an erotic romance, sex is not the only thing you will find in between these pages. Ms. Warren has a quirky sense of humor that she shares with her readers, as well as developing wonderful characters. I highly recommend this read and I look forward to reading Ms. Warren in the future

The title says it all!,
This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
I savored this deliciously erotic novel like fine wine. Fantasy Fix mixes two fantasies of mine: Domination/submission and vampires. The latter isn't doable, but I sure love to read vampire erotica! This intoxicating novel introduces us to Regina, a New York career woman who has just ended a bad relationship. In a misguided attempt to help her move on, Reggie's friends force her to be part of a game called Fantasy Fix in which they fix each other up with men who'll fulfill their deepest erotic fantasies. Reggie has fantasized about vampires and being dominated in bed. She may well meet a dominant man, but the closest she'll come to a vampire is by hooking up with a wannabe vamp at a gothic club. Or so she thought. Dmitri Vidame is the dominant rogue she'd never allowed herself to envisage and a whole lot more. Not only is he gorgeous and has the sexual prowess of a bull, but he can read her thoughts and communicate with her mind as well. But Dmitri hides the fact that he's a nocturnal creature with a penchant for blood...
This is one of the most erotic novels I have read. The romance and erotica mingle well and one does not outdo the other. The building of tension was flawless. I loved Dmitri. He's one of the sexiest characters I've read. And, as said earlier, the fact that he's both dominant and a vampire makes him all the more delicious. The whole fantasy about an immortal offering a human woman eternal youth and beauty is very sexy. What could be sexier than a sensual and masterful alpha male who can offer his female mate eternal life? I loved this novel, but found a loose end. How did Dmitri become a vampire? The author fails to supply that very important piece of information. I would've liked to know. Other than that, this is an erotic novel that should be devoured from beginning to end. I shall look forward to reading more books by Christine Warren. Another great offering from Ellora's Cave! I cannot recommend this delectable novel enough!

Wow, I would give it 10stars.,

This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
I only got this book last week form Amazon & hadn't even put it on my shelf when I decided to read it. Normally it can take me a couple of years before some of my books get read & then I wish I had read it earlier. I picked "Fantasy fix" up last night, started reading it & I was hooked. I checked to see if there were any more by Christine & found 5 more in this series, although only available as e-books. Which was a disapointment to me.
This book is hot & even better than that it is funny. I love Dmitri's & Reggie's friends & I can't wait to read about their fixes in the rest of the series. I have already downloaded "Fur factor" (Bk. 2 of Fixed series). This one is Graham's (Dmitri's best friend & a werewolf) story.

Good Plot=Good Book,

This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
I actually own both versions of this book which was first released as an ebook through Ellora's Cave. I decided to buy the physical book because it is actually really good, and I wanted to see it on my shelf. As many another reviewer has said, "the title does say it all". Regina, our heroine, is set up by her lovable friends with the date of her life. They are determined to have her live out some of her deepest, darkest fantasies. At a costume party, where she was supposed to be set up with the first of her 'fantasy fix' she meets Dimitri. And, let me tell you, he is all the fixing for the fantasy Regina needs. But, what she doesn't know is our dominant and lovable hero is a vampire, and she is soul mate. Interestingly, this isn't a dark and descending story, which is normally what you find when you read books with vampires as the hero. This book is funny, laugh at loud funny at times. Regina, her friends, and Dimitri friend's are hilarious. Add in the up and downs of the budding relationship, and you have a really good story. Yet, I gave the book four stars because I found Regina's acceptance of some of the things Dimitri could do a bit unbelievable. I mean she accepted that he could speak in her mind before she even knew he was a vampire. I also gave it four stars because the book is very short for the price you will pay. But, it is very good, don't get me wrong. If you have a little extra cash and can suspend some of your normal belief requirements then this is the book for you.

Fantasy Fix is a start to a series thats a delight to read.A groups of friends meet and deside that each one should have their Fantasy Fix.. their Fantasies come true.. so each of the friends writes down their Fantasies over their weekly get together. Regina 'Regi' writes down her most outrageous fantasy knowing that none of her friends will make this one come true.. How wrong could she be...Dmitri is proof. Not only is this book funny and entertaining. I liken it too your consuming your favourite chocolates.. decandant and endulging but addictive. Regi's group of friends their antics especially at the end of the story is hilarious... Not to be missed.

Timeless Tales 4 Star Review,

This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
by Nicole La FolleRegina and her four girlfriends get together every other week for a girl's night. They have a game they play they call the fantasy fix. Everyone has come up with their five most erotic fantasies. In turn, the four whose fantasy it wasn't would brainstorm available guys and see to it that the fantasy is fulfilled for the fifth. Everyone has had two fantasies fulfilled in this manner, except Regina. She was in a long-term relationship at the time the game started, and so had been exempt from participating. However, she broke up with her former fiancé when she found him having sex with his secretary, so now her four girlfriends say it's time for her to get her fix. She will be allowed two at once, since she is behind everyone else. Regina doesn't want to participate, but her friends pressure her into writing down five fantasies from which to draw two. Regina decides to be clever and come up with impossible to fulfill fantasies. She succeeds with four of them but, pressed for time, she finally has to use a real fantasy for the fifth. When her friends draw two fantasies for her, being seduced by a vampire and being tied up and dominated sexually are the ones drawn. Regina thinks she is off the hook, because where are her friends going to find a vampire, but one of them mentions a club where there is a monthly vampire ball for vampire wannabes and her belief that Regina would never give her friends an impossible task. So arrangements are made for them all to attend the next vampire ball, and for Regina to get her fix. Dmitri Vidame is a vampire. He is attending the vampire ball because the council is concerned that young vampires are using the ball to procure their prey. This could be dangerous to all preternatural creatures, because it could lead to exposure. Dmitri doesn't see any vampires at the ball, but he does see Regina. He is struck by her appearance and enters her mind to see what she is doing there, since she doesn't fit in with the rest of the crowd. Using limited mind manipulation, Dmitri gets Regina to take him home with her and then proceeds to fulfill both of her fantasies. But will Regina's friends accept her choosing her own man instead of the one they had picked out for her? Fantasy Fix is a fun read with lots of interesting twists to old themes. Regina is a modern woman with a very large independent streak. Dmitri is an old fashioned guy who wants to take care of his woman, but who is also willing to let her have her way. All the characters in this book are well developed and I can see sequels being written for most of them. Overall, this is a new and interesting plot taken to fascinating levels by the addition of paranormal elements. I look forward to Ms. Warren's next release, I just hope I don't have to wait too long.

Adventurous reading!,

This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
What a fabulous book. If you like a lot of spice in your romance reading, this is a great book to try. I plan on reading the rest of the series. Some may find the content too kinky for their tastes but if you don't mind stepping out of the box, give this a try. I found it sexy, humorous, and very, very hot. With vampires, werefolk and humans all getting into trouble it's a riot. You'll never get bored with this one.

Fantasy Beware,
By Ann (Knightdale, NC United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
Be careful what you fantasize about because you just might get it.... Dimtri Vidâme is a 759-year-old vampire and cannot believe he has finally found his mate. Regina's friends want to help her get over her unfaithful ex-fiancé so during their Lady's Night they force her to write down 5 fantasies so that they can pick a "Fantasy Fix" for her. She writes 4 she believes cannot come true and 1 true fantasy. Since vampires do not exist they combine 2 of her fantasies and they all go to the Mausoleum (a club for vampire wanna-bes) to find her fix. Regina finds Dimtri or vice-versa and they sneak out together. Let her fix begin... No holds barred erotica-Regina is smart, independent and mature; Dimtri is dominating but his love for her softens out the rough edges. Ms. Warren approach of the vampiric life is much more realistic than most.

Fantasy Fix - Christine Warren,
By "merlin_d" (Houston, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
This is the first book by Christine Warren, but it certainly won't be the last. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys humor, sensuality, and a truly romantic love story. It's the story of Dimitri, a vampire bored by the lack of challenges in his long life, and Regina, who's meddling, well-meaning friends try to fix her up with her "fantasy", a vampire that'll take control in the bedroom. Little do they know that one actually exists! What follows is a funny, sexy, heart warming tale of how Regina discovers that true love transcends all boundaries - even interfering friends and the fact that her lover isn't exactly human.I fell in love with this book because of it's humor, sensuality, and honest look at the pitfalls of being in love. I know you will too. And if you find yourself wanting to know what happens next, take heart - there are sequels!

Four Stars for the Creative Erotica,
By
This review is from: Fantasy Fix (Fixed, Book 1) (Paperback)
Minus one star for the lack of plot. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this book. Four stars for all the sex ought to tell you something - there was a lot of great sex! So much that I didn't mind the fact that Fantasy Fix had no plot in sight...not one teensy bit....none. What little bit that may masquerade as plot is actually just filler to get us to the great sex.
Now, for the filler. Don't blink when you read the book. You might miss it (some other reviewers seem to think it had plot, but it was SO scarce, I tell you)! Regina McNeill has ended a bad relationship with a scum-of-the-earth type guy and she's looking to her closest friends to bring her out of her funk. To liven up their lives they have impromptu sleepovers where each friend has a turn at her fantasy fix. They each write down their deepest darkest fantasies while the others try to arrange and fulfill them. Regina thinks she's escaped her turn since it's not come yet, but after her break-up with 'ole slimeball they corner her and prepare to fulfill her fantasies. After choosing which ones to fulfill, Regina's friends take her to a vampire masquerade ball where they've set her up to meet a guy of their choosing. Across the room she spies Dmitri Vidame, an ancient vampire who spies her as well and vows to make her his (being that he can read her mind he graciously steps in to fulfill her fantasies - what a guy). Before she knowa what's happened, Regina is back at her humble abode with Dmitri, and saying they get it on is an understatement. So begins what is one big continuous let's-get-it-on full length book of sex, sex and more sex. I must admit that it was some very good sex and it more than kept my attention. So there you have it. I didn't even miss the lack of even the most minute plot. Regina's character was fun to read about. I did roll my eyes when she finally "realizes" who and what Dmitri is. Why the author waits till the end to turn the light bulb on in her head is a mystery to me. There were certainly plenty of clues dangling right in front of her. Dmitri is a typical alpha male vampire - His "me manly ancient vampire, you're the one for me and now I'll take over your life" attitude is prevalent throughout. Hey, it's no biggie though when he's such a great lover to Regina. She more than deserved Dmitri after the jerk she'd been with before, especially given the fact that Dmitri seems to genuinely care for her. So, read "Fantasy Fix" for the sex. I kept waiting for something with a little more action (outside of a bedroom) to happen, like bad guys coming at them or another woman trying to come between them, anything to break up all the sex, but then they'd just fall back into bed again. The author even throws in a couple of other "were" creatures, like werewolves, I thought to spice the story up a bit (on the plot side), but it came across to me as a contrived effort to make the story seem more interesting. If you're a stickler for the whole nine yards (a.k.a. steamy sex AND plot) then forego this one till your in a more "intimate" mood. It's definitely a keeper for that aspect alone. |
