This book feels rushed and does not provide enough information for anyone trying to study for the 2012 season. It would be very helpful if he took an extra month and added player profiles and who he thinks will breakout, be a sleeper, etc etc. Lacks the polish seen in his Fantasy Football Guidebook. I do not recommend as the book is full of fluff and not helpful information. I hope Sam takes more time next year and improves his almanac.

I have purchased and read many fantasy football publications in recent years and bought this book to feed my FF addiction. This is a decent enough book but, in my opinion, is not as strong as other efforts by author Sam Hendricks. I believe his Fantasy Football Guidebook and Fantasy Football Tips publications are much stronger and well worth reading.

The Fantasy Football Almanac 2012 has some nice features and rankings but lacks any player profiles and in depth articles about draft/auction strategy, current trends or statistical analysis. Instead, the book provides a question and answer section featuring made-up queries from Tommy TuTone, Roger Goodell, Seri Usly, Nu Attitude and Heywood U. There are also two pages of retread questions from previous years "submissions" by Polly Ester, Ben Dover, etc. It would be nice to see these portions of the book devoted to more meaningful FF writing and fewer self-written softball questions. The are also nine pages wasted on listing the first two rounds of each NFL draft from 2008-2012. Personally, I don't need that information from my FF resources.

Having read other Sam Hendricks authored books, I know he is a good writer and passionate about fantasy football. My wish is he would take a little more time with his annual publication and provide a book that does more than skim the surface of the upcoming FF season. There are many good books, magazines and websites from which you could gather more useful information regarding the 2012 fantsy football season and I would suggest you rely on those while preparing for your upcoming drafts.
