When I was 21, and after many lonely nights, I bought a gold 1977 Lincoln Versailles. As the salesman handed me the keys, he said, "Son, your luck is about to change." Sure enough, dates were no longer hard to come by.

I haven't won my fantasy football league since 2007. But I won't need luck or a fancy car to win it this year; with Fantasy Football for Winners, B.J. Rudell has handed me the keys to break my slump in my fantasy league. I now know where I went wrong all these years.

In his book, Rudell offers insight and advice that will enable both novice and veteran fantasy players to succeed. His statistical analysis will make you think twice about often overlooked and underappreciated aspects of the game such as kickers, offensive lines, and Chad Pennington-type quarterbacks. If you are willing to take the time to implement the proven strategies espoused by Rudell, you will have bragging rights for years to come. I know I will.

With fantasy drafts right around the corner, I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of Fantasy Football for Winners and enjoy the spoils of Rudell's fantasy expertise. And who knows? Your winning ways on the fantasy field may lead to winning ways on another playing field. We all know the ladies love winners . . .

I get into fantasy football, but have never put in enough time or smarts to be a winner. I decided that would change this year, and lucky for me this book came out just after I'd made that decision. It's a fun read with a mix of smart ideas and smartass comments. My draft is in 10 days, and I've been using some of his recommendations to help with draft prep. I'm feeling better about this year's league than I ever have, thanks Mr. Rudell. If you're already winning your league every year you probably don't need this book. For the other 95% of us, it's well worth the time and money. Good luck! Unless you're in my league, in which case I hope you avoid this book and that your team sucks.

If you're a serious fantasy footballer or if you want to be a serious fantasy footballer, this book will give you the serious details you need to succeed. But if you are, like me, more subdued in your approach to fantasy sports, this book will keep you amused enough to keep reading from beginning to end, and you'll surely pick up a few handy tips on the way. Now, let me get back to finding the Chad Penningtons of this year's draft!

The perfect book for anyone who is involved in this pastime.
A very funny, yet in depth study of the game, strategies, statistics, etc.
Cannot see how this would not improve anyone's game and a damn good time to read.

This book is 90% pep-talk, 10% useful fantasy tips for non-losers, but the 10% is really good and the 90% is even better. There is a lot of advice - like don't highly draft a defense! - that I already knew and found obvious but I bet a lot of people need to hear because they are not natural-born winners, but anyone can become a winner with enough dedication and commitment to not losing. It's mostly about attitude, and that's what this book has.

He also promulgates a very useful system for preparing for the draft - the 10% part - but at the end of the day you're left to design your own stats-based ranking system in order to build your winning team. This is fine, because if fantasy football had been "solved" no one would play anymore. However, I'm skeptical that Mr. Rudell has not already solved the game and is just not telling all of his secrets in order to continue to profit from it. To that I say, keep winning! He's definitely not giving away fish, but if you read close enough I think you'll learn how to catch them from this book.

I've been in a league with some of my friends from high school for seven years now. We started the league as a means to keep in touch now that we all have started lives with jobs, families etc. I have never won the championship although was very relevant for the first six years making the playoffs every year and even played for a title twice (damn you 2010 week 15 Bears DST). that was until last year when I hit rock bottom a dismal 4-9 record left me very insecure about my fantasy future, maybe it was time to walk away? I was hopeless. Then a light appeared, and that light my friends was "Fantasy Football For Winners". This book ,brilliantly written by B.J. Rudell , has now served as the foundation upon which I will build my dynasty in my league. I've read the book followed al of B.J.'s advice and now its time to win. Thanks B.J.

I've been playing Fantasy Football now for 5 years. For me, Fantasy Football has gone from me getting annoyed when fantasy segments came up on Sportscenter, to complete addiction to the game. I listen to podcasts in February, I follow analysts on twitter, I accumulate data year round and plan my draft strategy all summer...and all this is for one league with 9 of my buddies just so I can smoke 'em and hold up the crown at the end of the year. Fantasy Football is the absolute greatest game ever devised and I owe so much of my success to this book. The book is a very easy read for novices, seriously funny for those who have attention deficit issues, and yet delves into deep topics for the seriously addicted fantasy baller. I would highly recommend this book if you are looking to really advance in your ability to play this great game!

I've been playing fantasy football for years but always looking for an edge so I picked up this book. It outlines a very methodical way to research for yourself before each draft and create your own rankings instead of relying on 'expert' rankings which often aren't all that reliable. Mr. Rudell has some very contrarian philosophies, such as not waiting until the end of your draft to take a defense if the right situation presents itself and backs it up with statistics.

I would recommend this book for anyone who plays fantasy football and wants to win their league.

Funny and to the point, this book is a great addition to any fantasy player's library. It will make you think twice about many things, even a kicker's value in fantasy football.

I would say the only problem with this book is that it is too good. I don't even want to tell my friends about it because I want to reserve the benefits of this book for me. This is the only place that I can vent my love or this book and not worry about people in my leagues hearing about it. Truthfully though, this book not only takes you from draft to winning but gives amazing proven tactics for research and preparation for the draft and week to week roster decisions. Not only is the book good but B.J. Rudell is always available to talk FF on twitter and Facebook at your need.
