For those of you who may not have heard, Keith passed away just last month. He was a true great in the fantasy art field, and a swell guy too. My condolences go out to his friends and family, their loss is great.
I'd highly recommend this to any fan of the genre. Buy it for the art, and for the memories...

Parkinson calendar,

I obviously HAVE to have a fantasy calendar in my office and Boris Vallejo doesn't pass the harassment test. In the past, I've gone with Michael Whelan's Dragons and Mystics series but he has chosen not to release any more of those. I looked around and found Keith Parkinson's. It included some of my favorite covers and some I hadn't seen before. It's an excellent substitute, even an improvement.
Sadly, it appears Mr. Parkinson passed away this year but if future calendars of his art are released, count me in. |
