Santa brought this to my 7 year old daughter and she adores it. It's sturdy as far as being a lamp, but definitely not something that should be moved around. Once in place, the vanilla section lights up as well as a bit of the strawberry. The effect is the perfect amount of normal lamp-light. Two things, however, I wish the bulb had been wrapped separately when shipped and Santa got a deal of 13.00 for this lamp. If he'd paid the 39.00 we might not be as impressed. Still, really great lamp which achieves the desired fun effect.
