This CD is the perfect Raiatea pure young voice. I have all her CD's yet I always go back to this one. As the other poster said, you should get this one first, as it is her younger voice and you will hear her mostly unaccompanied voice sounding sweet and lovely which will then set you up for her next CD with that title. But get this first. I have one of the first printings and this was out of print for a long time. It's good to see it back in print, however this is a high price, so check around. But be sure to pick it up, you won't be sorry! There are so many good songs, Kimo Hula, Alekoki, Kahealani and well, they are all just a joy to listen to. Beautiful voice!

This is Raiatea Mokihana Maile Helm's first recording. I love it, but please be sure to get it before you get her second release "Sweet and Lovely," otherwise it might be a disappointment. I'm still giving it five stars based on its content. For those who are musical, it's amazing how clearly she hits the G above high C at the age of 18! Highlights include "Kimo Henderson Hula," "Alekoki," and my personal favorite and also one of my most favorite Hawaiian songs of all time, "He'eia," which resembles Keali'i Reichel's "Ka Nohona Pili Kai" (and not the traditional song made famous by the Pahinui's that you might have heard before). Another recommendation for Hawaiian music lovers!

I purchased this C.D. about 4 months ago. You can buy it for under 16 bucks on line. Only an idiot would pay the prices offered in excess of listing price.

Oh, I digress. This is an excellent C.D.
