...now to get playing.
Those were all of the negatives, here are the positives.
The game is amazing. While it is relatively old now, it is quite possibly the best shooter I have ever played. Aside from characters having cheesy lines and moving oddly in cut scenes, the game play is solid. Also, the great thing about this game is that it gets insanely difficult, even on the easiest setting. Don't expect a breeze of a game. Expect to spend time actually figuring out enemy weaknesses and learning how to shoot a gun. Although I guarantee you'll get stressed out about certain parts of this game, the 10 hour or so ride is great. Beating it is the biggest payoff I ever felt in completing a game. I'm not going to lie, I feel like a pro for beating this.... on the easy setting...
4 stars only just because of setting up the game. If you have a 32 Bit OS read my review as a 5 star,
Basically, download the install folder from Amazon on another computer or paritition running the 32-bit OS and install onto that OS. After the install is completed simply cut or copy the game folder from the Program Files directory and transfer it onto a flash drive. Transfer that folder into the Program Files directory into your 64-bit OS. Search for and download the 64-bit patch for Far Cry and install it. The patch creates a new 64-bit folder in the game directory. In that directory is the executable to run the game in 64-bit. Adjust your settings accordingly and voila.
As a side note, I had to forcibly shut down far cry after running the first time due to it hanging onto a black screen after initial setup. Then again when I first started a campaign as it hung on the loading screen. Since those two occurences everything is running smoothly now.

This game was great. The best shooter game I've played. Certain parts of the game are like a puzzle so it makes it hard to pass some levels. Plot was original.Published on February 24, 2013 by Goblin5
