A step backwards (in style) from "Odin Owns Ye All", but nonetheless a brilliant CD from these masters of viking metal. If you liked "Dragons of the North" you'll probably love this one, especially the vocals which are not as clean as "Odin Owns Ye All". Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am pleased, February 14, 2007

to own this now, and I want to tell people to shop around for this. There are reasonable shops who get these things in and out. Don't buy from some metal head who knows a lot, buy from a high volume "this is garbage I want to get rid of it" type of person. This has "Far,Far North" on it which is a catchy popular tune. Thank God I bought "Aurora Borealis" when it was still available through distributors..

5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Viking Metal, September 29, 2011
This review is from: Far Far North (Audio CD)
I'm not a big fan of the other Einherjer's albums, but in my search for music that instantly makes me think of the viking era I came across this EP, and this really has a viking aura over it. I've heard alot of viking metal bands and there are ALOT of them here in scandinavia, but mostly I think of the others as black metal with norse mythology lyrics with some horn sonds here and there in addition to some out of tone clean vocals. The exception is Bathory, his out of tone clean vocals actually fits in well in a strange way :) This Einherjer EP is the best you get of viking music along with Bathory (blood on ice) and Finntroll (midnattens widunder), and of course the band Ensiferum.
