We are ecstatic the Far Side calendar is back. We have missed being able to chuckle at the fantastic daily cartoon ever since Gary Larson announced that the calendar was discontinued. Keep up the good work, Gary! We purchased 10 to give as Christmas gifts. We hope to have your calendar every year from now on!

I don't know which I'm more excited about: an encore edition of the last Far Side calendar, or the fact that Larson is donating the royalties to Conservation International. With Christmas coming up, though, the real decision is figuring out how many to buy!

I FIND THESE CALENDARS ARE A 'FIVE-STAR' GIFT FOR SOMEONE ON YOUR LIST WITH A ZANY SENSE OF HUMOR. UNLIKE A TIE OR CLOTHING, THEY ARE JUST THE RIGHT FIT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT A PERSONAL GIFT LIKE A TIE OR A SHIRT. THEY ARE PRICED SO YOU CAN GIVE THEM TO LOTS OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE. MY BROTHER-IN-LAW AND BROTHER LIKE TO RECEIVE THESE. KEEP THEM COMING, GARY LARSON!

Although these are encore cartoons from Larson's archieve, they are funny, clever a a great way to get the day off with a jellyroll hearty laugh!

This was a Xmas gift for my husband - he loves it, and I hear him chuckle every day when he tears off a page!

365 images to make me giggle or set me thinking, every day, about animals in the world around me! Very happy to know that my purchase will help Conservation International's efforts to halt the illegal wildlife trade.

Larson's "The Far Side" was one of the most innovative, imaginative, and hilarious comic strips of the later '80s and '90s. Calendar lovers got to take part in Larson's magic by being able to look forward to an annual calendar of his cartoons. (This reviewer anxiously awaited my annual calendar Christmas gift from my wife.)

Unfortunately for his legion of fans, Larson decided to hang up his pen for good at the turn of the century. (I guess we all thought that his ideas would never run out.) The 2001 version of Larson's calendar contained his 365 "greatest hits" which provided fans with a memorable and laugh-out-loud cartoon for every day of the year! (I'm sure that a number of Larson's fans kept each one of those cartoons as they turned the page each day!!)

Well, for those who have missed Larson's wit and humor - rejoice! This 2001 "greatest hits" compilation has been republished for the 2007 calendar year. For those of you who are new to Larson and The Far Side, grab one of these as soon as you can and prepare to start each day with a smile.

Your fans have missed you Gary and are glad you're back even if it's just for a little while. Oh....and as an added incentive to buy the calendar (as if you needed one) all proceeds go toward the protection and preservation of endangered animals!!

This is the best calender I own! Carefully selected 'Far Side' cartoons seem to be aligned with the season and time of year associated with it. There's nothing like laughing when you wake up . . . so beside my ritual of hopping three or four times as soon as my feet his the floor by my bed, I will look forward to seeing my calender soon to be hanging by by expresso machine.

Love the humor - most I've seen but a few are new. Even the old ones help start a day with a smile.

Great gift! How else could you give so many laughs in a year?
