With a grooved channel to catch juices for making sauces and gravies and prevent spillovers, the 12-by-18-inch poly cutting board is ideal for slicing and serving roasts and poultry and serving them at table. It's nonabsorbent, nonporous, and dishwasher-safe, and it has a textured surface to reduce slipperiness. The 1/2-inch-thick board flips over to provide a flat side to prep vegetables or slice and serve bread. For handling and hanging on a hook or peg, one corner is angled and contains an ample handhold. The board contains Microban, an antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause odors and stains in the board itself. However, the agent does not protect against food-borne bacteria so the board needs regular cleaning for proper sanitation.
