Stored in a revolving, hardwood carousel, the four kitchen knives, eight steak knives, and 10 kitchen gadgets in this 23-piece set are always within reach. Though the thin-bladed, lightweight, stamped knives won't suit serious cooks seeking top quality, their blades are made of stainless steel, have durable polypropylene handles permanently bonded to the blades, and are dishwasher-safe. Blade edges have both microserrations and larger serrations and are touted as never needing sharpening. The four kitchen knives include an 8-inch carving knife, an 8-inch chef's knife, a 5-inch utility knife, and a 2-3/4-inch paring knife. The eight steak knives have 4-1/2-inch blades. The 10 gadgets include a can opener, a peeler, four plastic measuring cups (1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 cup), three plastic measuring spoons (1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon), and 8-inch kitchen shears that adjust for tension.
