Fit perfectly on my Cook's Essentials 8in skillet that didn't come with a lid.

So glad that there is a product out there that is just the lid. Make sure you measure the pot first before you choose which size you need. This fit perfectly on my 8" pan that I needed it for. Its great and reasonably priced. I love the handle...I have another lid that has a metal handle that gets hot when you leave it on the pot. I would definately recommend this product if you're looking for a lid and don't want to have to buy a set ex.) the pot and lid together.

This lid is well made, looks good. It has a lower lip or rim, that will not allow it to lie flat on my 8 inch fry pan. The lid is 8 inches, and perhaps I should have bought a smaller lid for my fry pan. I would have given it 5 stars because it is so well made. This lid's lip prevents it from being firmly seated in my fry pan, it just slips off. In future I will only buy lids that are a little smaller than my fry pan. Perhaps it would be best for pots, I cannot say for sure.

I like to melt cheese over many of the sandwiches I prepare. This eight inch glass cover is just so sweet for knowing when the cheese has melted! I could not find any locally. Thanks Amazon.

I don't like heating up an entire oven to bake a single stuffed potato, a couple of fish fillets, re-heating a slice of pizza or any small baking task. Neither do I like 'toaster ovens'. They don't bake evenly and leave one portion or another either uncooked or burnt. Mostly, they are hard to clean. Using this lid, I turned my cast iron frying pan into a mini-Dutch oven. Along with an oven thermometer, I was able adjust the electric burner on my stove top very low to perfectly bake small items. This saved a lot of energy. It worked so well, I ordered a 10 inch glass lid from the same manufacturer to turn my larger cast iron frying pan into a Dutch oven. The fit is not perfect, but is close enough to provide a seal against heat escape. For my purposes, this 8 inch and the 10 inch lids are perfect for baking for the single guy.

I have two of these lids, an 8" and a 10". They fit our Farberware and our Circulon pans. They work just fine. It's too bad they didn't come with the pans.

What a helpful purchase. It fits more than one pan. The weight of the lid is substantial. It is the first time I have used a glass lid. Fun to see what's cooking.

I own all Farberware pans, non-stick and traditional, some 15 years old. In fact my parents still own their original set that was a wedding gift over 40 years ago. They are still in great shape. The black has faded a bit but not one handle has broken or cracked. I purchased three sizes of these glass lids and have been using them for almost a year now. I love them. They fit just right. I dont know why so many reviews say the lids dont fit. I can only guess they are not using Farberware pots and pans. The lids are made well with thick glass. Cleans well. Mine still look brand new. It is a nice change to be able to watch the cooking.

Ordered this lid for a 8" skillet for Paula Deen's set-Didn't come with an 8" lid-got it today and it fits like a glove. (Perfect)-happy camper

I got an 8-inch and a 10-inch Farberware lid for my new Anolon Bronze open frying pans (8" and 10"). The Farberware lids fit the Anolon pans perfectly and are very useful. Knob stays cool, didn't brush the lid with my hand or wrist, so the ergonomics work out very well.

The Anolon open fry pans have a splayed outer rim -- instead of an edge at the rim, they bend outward in a small arc. I was concerned that the lids (with a metal defined edge) might not fit securely or might bind or unduly scrape the nonstick surface. When I got them, for both pans, they fit comfortably with very little play, and did not bind, so I don't think they damage the nonstick surface.

Even though Anolon offers a 10-inch lid of their own, you can only buy it bundled with the 12" lid, and I didn't know if I was going to get a 12" pan, so I didn't get the bundle. And since I had to get a Farberware lid for the 8" pan, I got the matching one for the 10" pan from Farberware instead of getting the Anolon lids.
