This Farberware Classic 5-Quart Covered Buffet Casserole is the best roasting pan I have ever used in my 38 years of cooking. The cover helps to keep the foods hot and moist. I am so pleased with it I bought 2 more for my daughters. This casserole pan cooks food perfectly, presents the food beautifully on the dining table and washes like new either by hand or dishwasher. I think I'll buy another just in case.

I just recieved this Farberware Casserole, but the informations in Amazon is wrong!
On the Box it says this is Oven Safe to 500 Degrees not 350.also dishwasher safe.5 quarts.
The measurments are 12.5" x 10".almost 3 1/2 deep.Nice dome lid.
This could be used for a whole chicken or roast.

When I bought this Farberware a few days ago it was, $29.99, then dropped down to $24.99, now I see its $46.90 !! But I have found this on other websites for about $50.00 plus s & H.
I guess I got a good deal ($24.99) 4-07

I made 12 deboned, deskined Chicken Breasts, mushrooms etc. in this, and there was plenty of room for more.
I sauted first and then put it in the oven. It turned out wonderful.
Nothing stuck, and cleaned up like a breeze.

98% of my cookware is Calphalon commercial nonsitck,and I was surprised how well this cooked, and cleaned up.
On the stove top the handles did not get hot, but be careful in the oven.

This is nice enough to cook and serve with, but if you put it in the oven I think it would be too hot, I would cook in something else, then serve in this, as I would think it will keep the food hot..
It can go from the stove top to the table.

I also just recieved the 12 inch Cuisinart pan, it looks good, but is not as nice as this peice, and the handles do get hot on the stove top, but this did not.

Love it, used it for a small dinner party. I placed it on table with hot meal that had been transferred to it and it was beautiful and held food hot. Also I was able to place in refrigerator for next day. Highly recommned.

At first glance, I thought this cookware is ALL-CLAD, because of the thickness of the pan. It is very beautiful polished mirror stainless steel cookware with doom lid cover. The rectangular shape by itself make this cookware very unique. The pan measures 13" by 10.5" and 3.5" deep. Bottom measures 10" by 8".
This one is a keeper. I bought several for gifts. You will not fine anything like this anywhere at this price, and will not be disappointed.

This is a wonderful stainless steel server. It not only can be used for cooking the casserole, but also for serving. It is beautiful as well as functional. This will be a favorite in your kitchen. Also the price was reasonable.

I'm been cooking for 40 years (and I'm still tough or should that be no wonder I'm tough)! I bought this casserole because it said it was stainless steel so I knew that it should clean up nicely, and wouldn't be too heavy to lug around if I needed to either "bring-a-dish" (I REALLY hate parties where I have to bring a dish...let's either all cook together or you'll cook and I'll enjoy it at your home or I'll cook and we'll both enjoy...my idea of a party!) or just take it in and out of the oven and to the table. But I digress, so I got this pan and tried it out with by making a pot au fer (pot roast with an attitude)to see if it was heavy enough to do both the browning and the slow simmering in the oven)and how well the lid would hold up to keeping the seal for long slow cooking in the oven. PERFECT ON ALL FUNCTIONS and the pan looked like a serving dish (not all spattered or heat stained) at the end so I could just set the casserole on the table! I'm impressed and the price was AMAZING! Good job Farberware I'm proud of you. My first set of stainless pots and pans were Faberware in 1969 and they are still in perfect condition. In the 90's I got a "bug" to have try Faberware's Millenium brand with non-stick coating what a disaster! So I had been a little iffy as to whether this casserole would be the quality of my original Faberware great all-around set and the same set I bought for my daughter years later when she began to cook in college or this would be
just another of those once great brands that lost something in the translation. Happily this covered buffet casserole rates 5 STARS and is a definite "must have". While this might seem like comparing apples to oranges I now prefer it to the Le Creuset casserole I'd used for years as it was definitely not so heavy to lift, the lid sealed better and it looked less like it had spent several hours in prep and cooking when I brought it to the table.

I bought 2 of these because of the price ($22 each) and the positive reviews. They came today and I'm really happy. The pleasing shape and the mirror finish make it very attractive for serving at the table. I cooked a big ham and cheese casserole tonight and it cooked evenly with no burned spots. (I'm a very bad cook so this is major for me). It also cleaned up easily since the inside has the mirror finish, too, unlike some lesser stainless steel pans that have the heavily brushed interior finish. The base is thick and heavy but the lid feels a little lightweight. Overall, it's lighter weight than my Calphalon pans but I've noticed that many people prefer cookware that isn't too heavy so this may be just what you're looking for. At $22, I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this covered casserole.

The product is just as I expected. Farberware has a solid product.

I love this casserole. I use it as a regular pot on the stove. It cleans beautifully. No one makes pots like farberware! I own at least 10 of them and am always buying more. the price of this one was what convinced me to buy too.
