4.0 out of 5 stars Wendsday is Prince Spaghetti Day
I cook a lot of pasta, and I really like the convenience of a strainer lid.
Most folks say "use a colander", but I like to be able to put things in the sink while I am cooking.
Doesn't make much sense to stop and do the dishes, in the middle of preparation.

I had a crummy Chinese pot, that served its purpose, but the Farberware one is great...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed
Good stockpot, but takes too long to strain water. Quicker to use a regular strainer. Also, you can't close when
boiling water, so I felt it took longer to for water to boil.

No trouble at all to boil a pound and a half of spaghetti.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Pan, April 28, 2011
This review is from: Farberware Classic 8 Quart Covered Straining Stockpot (Kitchen)
I have had two non stick pans in the past and get so tired of them peeling, then I won't use them. This pot is large, you could cook several packages of spaghetti or noodles at the same time with no danger of boil over. I am very happy with this pan and would recommend it to anyone. The locking lid works great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice pot but......, January 12, 2012

I purchased this for my Mother and she loved it until she used it. The pot is nice and heavy but it has spots in it after using it and they will not come out no matter how hard you scrub. Otherwise I would recommend this pot.

3.0 out of 5 stars Inside bottom of pot dis-colored., August 31, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Farberware Classic 8 Quart Covered Straining Stockpot (Kitchen)
I like the size of the pot and the strainer lid. My complaint is on the inside of the pot. The inside bottom of my pot is dis-colored. I have only used my pot 4 or 5 times. After the first time I used the pot I noticed spots in the bottom of it. Each time I use it there are more spots. The first few times I cooked pasta and the last time I boiled some shrimp in it. Does anyone else have this problem?
