4.0 out of 5 stars Farberware Clear Benefits 14-Piece Cookware Set, Black
The kitchen utilities acquired from Farberware are very good in quality. It gets warm homogeneously and the food does not adhere to the pens. They are easy to clean, which makes easier to use them. But the utilities like the spoon and the others of the same kind are weak.

3.0 out of 5 stars Exterior paint peels off after a couple of uses
This looked like a great deal at $39.99 with free shipping, so I even gave it as a gift to a friend. To my disappointment, the exterior paint or coating started peeling on the saucepans after a couple of uses. Checked with my friend, and guess what - the same thing ! Perhaps, one could live with an ugly exterior because the interior non-stick surface is still alright, but...

my husband got this to start our married life, and in just 6-8 months all the vessels have their nonstick peeling. very unhealthy for the nonstick material to mix with the food!! just bought a new stainless steel set!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in Product, March 24, 2007

Although I have only used one of the saucepans from the set of cookware, I am not happy with the results. The black coating on the bottom of the pan, after the first use, began to "flake off". Quite frankly, I am now sorry that I donated my other set of cookware to a charity, because even though it was well-used, I consider it to be better than this set of Farberware. The set was purchased because of the Farberware name and I am now very disappointed. However, since I paid relatively little for the set (and utilized a gift certificate), I am not about to go to the trouble and expense of returning it to the manufacturer for replacement. Rest assured, though, should anyone ask me, I will not be able to recommend this product to them.

1.0 out of 5 stars non-stick? Yea, right., October 24, 2005

My old set of non-stick pots and pans were getting worn out so I thought I'd get this since it was on sale at Amazon. I had some doubts about it since I had a bad experience with another Farberware product (but can't remember what it was) but I figured since it was cheap, I'd take a chance. When I got them, I immediately noticed that the quality was much less sturdy and well-made than the Foreverware. And the most important feature that I was looking for - non-stick, that was a joke. I'd never buy any Farberware products anymore. I do recommend Foreverware. It had sustained lots of scratches and damages from me over the years and yet it's still perfectly non-stick. The only reason that I was buying something new is because the handle to one of the pots was getting loose.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sub-Standard Outer coating, October 7, 2005
This review is from: Farberware Clear Benefits 14-Piece Cookware Set, Black (Kitchen)
I've bought this item two weeks before and to my amazement, the outer black coating of All the cookware began to lose. Be careful about buying this item. you may end up loosing the entire black outside coating and it will definetly look ugly. BEWARE!!!! Not worth for the price!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Same problem as others--finish came right off, March 16, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Farberware Clear Benefits 14-Piece Cookware Set, Black (Kitchen)
I purchased this set back in December 2005, but never got around to leaving feedback. It's way overdue.
I used the small skillet and the small sauce pan exactly once.
The paint came off the bottom of the saucepan, but on the skillet, it involves the sides as well as the bottom.
To have to find packaging and then absorb the cost to have the stuff mailed back is wrong, since it's clear by reading others' reviews that I am not the only one who's had the same problem.
Like the others whose pots and pans had the peeling paint, I'm hiding mine and won't buy Farberware again.
I'm just thankful I didn't buy it as a "gift" for anyone!

for the price, this product is ok. i paid amazon $39.99(which included S&H). although i am very careful about my non-stick cookwares (never clean them in dishwasher, use mild soap and scrubber), the outer coating has already started chipping (after 7 months of use). do not expect this set to be heavy enough to stay upright always on your burner. if you intend to keep it like an use & throw product, you may wanna buy it for the use for a few years. if you believe in lifetime product, forget about it, close your eyes, open your wallet and go for calphalon, expensive but excellent stuff (some of them have lifetime warranty).

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Non Stick Pans I have seen, July 3, 2006
This review is from: Farberware Clear Benefits 14-Piece Cookware Set, Black (Kitchen)
This is probably the worst non stick cookware i have seen/used. The coating started peeling off after a couple of uses. (Even though, we ensured that it is hand washed etc. and took good care and precautions).I would never buy farberware non stick cookware again...Complete waste of money and effort....

4.0 out of 5 stars Good collection for a two member family, October 21, 2005
This review is from: Farberware Clear Benefits 14-Piece Cookware Set, Black (Kitchen)
This is a good set for a two member family. If you are expecting it to be big enough to cook for 4 people, it may not serve the purpose. It's ideal for cooking food for 2 people. Quality of the product is good and I'm satisfied.
