The best pots I've ever owned, October 23, 2002
This review is from: Farberware First Course 8-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set (Kitchen)
One of the perks to being a military wife it the ability to purchase new pots every time you move while you wait on your household goods to catch up with you. Two years ago I bought a set of these for my house in Florida - the price seemed good. When we arrived at this duty station, I bought some of those really nice professional cookware sets - and I hated them so much, I sold them. The $400 set didn't heat as evenly as these, food stuck to the bottoms, and they were a pain to clean. I have been looking for a chance to buy another set of these, and I was just thrilled to see that Amazon had them. They are, without a doubt, the best cookwear I've ever owned in thirty years. They cook evenly on an electric range or a gas one, the lids are wonderful, they wash easily in the dishwasher, and well, like I said, I just love them.

MUCH better quality than I expected, September 4, 2003
This review is from: Farberware First Course 8-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set (Kitchen)
This is a great set of pots and pans. I thought, because of the price and the word "starter" in the product title, that they were going to be a flimsy, lower quality set. I was just going to buy a cheap set to get me through the next 4 or 5 years like I did last time I bought pots and pans. But these are VERY nice. Much, much better than I expected. These are the kind of pots and pans that you see in kitchen gadget stores, but are too expensive to buy because you know your kids are just going to wear them around on their heads like helmets and then make a stew from their hard plastic toys. At this price you could even buy your kids their own set to scratch up! But seriously, these are really great. After my sister saw them, she bought a set to replace her year old [$125] stainless set that she doesn't really like. I highly recommend this set. You will not be disappointed.

High quality stuff perfect to start with, September 9, 2003
This review is from: Farberware First Course 8-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set (Kitchen)
I'm from Provo, UT, married college student capital of the world, and I am poor. As my (now) wife and I were registering for our wedding, we had trouble finding a non-stick cookware set low-priced enough that anyone we knew would get it for us. Just because I was curious, I did a bit of looking on Amazon and could not believe the price on this set! Everything else was in the $$$$ to $$$ range for anything like this. I quickly e-mailed everyone I knew and told them this would make a perfect wedding present. Fortunately, somebody did end up buying them for us, and they have been absolutely wonderful. First off, they do an excellent job. So far, everything we have cooked in them has turned out great. Not only do they heat evenly and quickly, cleaning is an absolute cinch. Even without soap, they just rinse right off and are ready to re-use. We got some Bon Ami to clean them, but haven't had to use it yet. Second of all, they have a simple, no-nonsense design and sturdy structure. They're easy to handle, they fit into a small location in our cramped kitchen, the handles don't heat up, the lids are easy to deal with (three lids to fit five pans), and they look nice. Finally, you really cannot beat the price. There is nothing cheapo about these pots. They're every bit as good as any $$$ set you could find out there. If you're getting married, moving out on your own, or just need to upgrade to some new cookware, there is nothing even close to this set from Farberware.
