Farberware Millennium Teakettle
Function is good and as expected. It boils water and whistles when the water is ready. The style is very attractive and construction is excellent, as is the set of Millennium Cookware we purchased previously.

Looks good but...
I love this teakettle. It is gorgeous and functional and I like the way the lid flips up. I received it in May 2005, but two nights ago (February 2006), when I flipped up the lid, the ring broke off and the plastic holding it went to bits! Fortunately, there is a lifetime warranty and I'm sending mine back to Farberware Cookware (Attn: Warranty Inspection,...

I love this teakettle. It is gorgeous and functional and I like the way the lid flips up. I received it in May 2005, but two nights ago (February 2006), when I flipped up the lid, the ring broke off and the plastic holding it went to bits!
Fortunately, there is a lifetime warranty and I'm sending mine back to Farberware Cookware (Attn: Warranty Inspection, One Meyere Plaza, Vallejo CA 94590) for a replacement!

This teakettle holds enough water for a medium large teapot, and heats quickly. The handle, lid and whistle stop are covered and cool enough for my very sensitive hands to touch. The shape is pleasing. The only minus is that it is a little difficult to pour with one hand when the kettle is full.

The whistle is loud, it pours great, it looks beautiful, cleans up nicely. I really like my new kettle so far. I looked at a lot of reviews on this site before I purchased this tea kettle and so far, I'm thrilled with my purchase. Hopefully after 2 years with this same tea kettle, I'll feel the same way.
