5.0 out of 5 stars BEST SET OF COOKWARE THAT I EVER OWNED! 5 STARS!
After 2 years of cheapie cookware, I bought this set in black when I bought a new ceramic top range. My old cookware was not flat bottomed and it was very thin--time to go! This new Faberware set is heavy duty and I love the fry pans. The reason that I bought this set is because I have owed Faberware products before and they are exceptional quality.

3.0 out of 5 stars Discolored Immediately
I spent a lot of time researching which cookware to buy and reading the reviews. These were on sale when I bought them, I think I paid $80. They look really nice, at first, but after using each piece only one time, and being very careful not to turn the heat up too high or leave anything sitting on the burner, they are discolored. For example, the pans are already getting...

This review is from: Farberware Millennium 11 Pc Set with Glass Lids, Black (Kitchen)
Pros: This set cooks evenly, quickly and very easy to clean. I feel like a professional chef using these. Cannot say enough great things about this set. In fact, I just bought a 12" Faberware Skillet like this and also another 8" Faberware skillet (for eggs, and more). Also note that the Faberware new line of bakeware is heavy duty and bakes well and so easy to clean, I had to have a whole set. (After buying these 2 months ago and being so pleased with them, I decided to buy this set).
Cons: NONE!

4.0 out of 5 stars perfect so far, October 7, 2007

Although the product description do not state it, the set is solid 18/10 stainless steel. The glass-lids are very nice and way better than metal lids. I would rather to have a 5qt stock pot instead of a 8qt one and to have a lid for the small skillet. Other than that, this is a very good deal for $60 price.

I really researched stainless steel cookware before deciding to buy. This set of Farberware is up there with the highest quality and is such a bargain!!! They are easy to cook in once you get the hang of cooking with a lower heat setting. Also, they are so easy to clean and are so beautiful. I love them!!!

so far so good. No complaints here. I was getting tired of the non stick finshes coming off so I decided to try stainless steal. Have been loving it all.

I was looking for a new set of pots and pans. This is such a good product for the price. They cook evenly and are great, you don't need the heat very high at all. Cleans with an ease.

We bought these to replace a set of Faberware that we inherited from my mother (30 yrs old). These are great pans. They distribute the heat well and age great to handle.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quality and Value for Your Dollar, July 15, 2008
I chose Farberware when I moved into my first apartment over 35 years ago. It is still my favorite cookware. Even when I buy a new set, the old ones are still so good, I don't discard them, I give them away. These pots and pans are well constructed with stay-cool handles, cook evenly, clean easily and look good on the stovetop or counter - at a more than reasonable cost. I prefer the metal lids to glass (breakage) but whatever your choice, you cannot go wrong with Farberware. There may indeed be better cookware out there, but I haven't had reason to wonder or wander.

4.0 out of 5 stars I kinda miss my non stick pans, June 25, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I noticed that many of the reviews are associated with the non-stick version of this cook-set.

My review is based off of the cookware set that is plainly STAINLESS-STEEL.
The material is fantastic. It feels heavy and durable in my hands and the grippy rubber handles are a great touch. Makes you feel great if you're just learning how to cook.

One thing I do recommend is buying a separate non-stick for things like eggs or pancakes. I "Pam"med the heck out the frying pan and eggs would still stick. Terrible.

The pans get super-hot, super-fast. You definitely have to find a happy medium with the food and your pans because it will cause discoloration or burn spots

4.0 out of 5 stars switching to stainless, January 7, 2008
I have always used nonstick cookware but I got this idea that stainless was better so we decided to go for it. The first week or so we had some sticking issues and some really greasy meals trying to figure out how much oil was enough to keep it from sticking. We pretty much have down after a few weeks now and are pleased with their performance. We have a gas cooktop and these definitely distribute the heat more effectively than our old cookware. One downside is the handle. The rubber part in the center is great but if the pan is heavy and you need to get closer to the pot, be careful because the handle next to the pot is metal and it gets HOT! The glass lids are really nice for monitoring. Being health conscious, I don't like having to use the extra fat for cooking and the clean up can be a little more labor intensive. Still, I'd say I'm happy overall with the purchase.
