I bought this pan with the idea that it would serve as a substitute for the stainless steel pans that I use for one-meal cooking. Let me tell you, this pan is worth the money. It is not a "cheapo" pan but a well-made tool for cooking all sorts of foods. The base is heavy stainless steel over an aluminum core, which spreads the heat very evenly. The sides are shiney stainless steel and the handle is extraordinarily comfortable. It is used on a smooth-top electric range and heats up nicely.
The non-stick works fine as long as you clean it with only a cloth and soap and water. Basted eggs literally slide out of the pan with zero friction. I have used it to cook cheese based pasta dishes with wonderful results. It also does great with fried chicken, hamburgers, and even hot dogs. It's big enough to toast the buns on one side and cook the meat on the other. My wife has begun to use it in place of some of our Belgique stainless, so I bought a spare just to have around.
This pan gets my highest recommendation.
Update: 10-10-2012 -- Now that I've been using this pan for over five years, I can report that everything I've said above still applies with one addition. That addition is this: Don't use this pan on the maximum heat setting! The directions tell you this, but we often don't pay attention to directions, do we? If you consistently use the high heat setting, over a period of four or five months, you will notice a degradation of the non-stick coating. Keep it up, and the non-stick will become just plain old stick. Just follow directions, and this pan will keep going for a long, long time.
