Customer Reviews

What is not so good is when it comes to cleaning, very hard to clean.
RanSha
Even pounding on the top with full force doesn't seem to improve the chopping.
Steven C. Cross
Food sticks to the blades and it is not easy to take it out when washing.

Chopper works well and does what it is intended to do, however it is very difficult to clean afterwords. There is a plastic guard that you need to take out to properly clean the blades, but it's difficult to put back especialy when you have very sharp bades to deal with. Don't know if i would purchase this item again.

I replaced my pampered chef chopper with this one. It works great, but is a bit harder to clean, but jut buy a baby bottle brush with a nipple brush cleaner (you can find them for less than $3) and use it to get between the blades.

(Update! I found a good chopper at Ikea! Run, don't walk to get one there. It's everything a food/nut chopper should be. I went back and got a second one so I have a spare if the first one ever dies.)

Why is it so hard to design one of these so you don't want to throw it against a wall when you use it? 1st, the plastic piece inside that fits over the blades falls out when you try to put the top half on the bottom half. Brilliant. 2nd, the bottom rubber piece isn't attached to the acrylic body---maybe for easier cleaning or perhaps to make sure it falls off, spilling the contents you just chopped all over the place. Priceless. This might be good for chopping parsley, but it totally blows for chopping nuts. Craptacular.

the sweeper arm is a nice feature but it prohibats the use of base remoeval for cutting board use like one from magic chef although the materials are off better qaulity.

I think this product deserves an 'average' rating. Yes, it chops food well (as designed?) but it is harder to clean than I expected. I'm not a mechanical engineer, so not really sure how it could be improved but man it's annoying to clean!

We had one of these before and this one is just as good at doing the job.
It is easy to clean and matches all our stainless steel kitchen appliances
and tools.

Its pretty good for chopping even though I have had better for less money. The easy container option is cool.

The chopper is sturdy but did not meet my needs. It was fine for onions, garlic cloves, and carrots - if you don't mind chopping very small quantities at a time. If you overfill the tiny compartment, nothing chops well. It did a poor job on mushrooms, dried apricots and some types of nuts. When I am spending hours in the kitchen on food prep, I need a chopper that I can rinse off quickly, re-assemble and move on to chop the next ingredient. Spending 5 minutes fiddling with the blade guard to get it off so that the chopper can be rinsed is not my idea of time well-spent. I was so frustrated with this chopper that after trying to work with it on a very complex recipe, I gave up in frustration and threw it in the trash. I'd rather use a knife.
